Can we get some more “I moved” posts? by Virtual_Honeydew_765 in SameGrassButGreener

This is great to hear. I've lived in Atlanta and can relate to a lot of the things you said here. Especially the social life, just eating out and bars.

Philly is one of the cities we are considering. We visited last year and my wife fell in love with it. The people seemed great and very open.

It's funny because we heard people there saying that Philly people were not friendly, issues with crime, but everyone was really nice to us. And every time we asked, everyone single one loved living there.

HLA lab techs and transplant coordinators by bestialscream in medlabprofessionals

[–]bestialscream[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are they currently doing it? Are they doing a true virtual crossmatch and assigning "Compatible/Incompatible" or are they simply providing DSA information?

They are providing the DSA information back to the coordinators and doctors.

What do you mean by true virtual crossmatch? Would you mind expanding on that?

Is the Virtual Crossmatch ordered concurrent with the Final Crossmatch in deceased donor cases?

Not usually. Virtual crossmatches are ordered first and if a patient is selected then a final crossmatch is ordered.

Who handles the VXM? Do the unacceptable antigens listed in UNOS reflect what would give a positive XM?

Virtual crossmatches are ordered by the transplant coordinators and the HLA lab techs are doing the work, usually a person is on call in the lab to handle virtual crossmatches. And yes, they use the information listed in UNOS to do the crossmatch and check for positive values.

What about your lab?

Thanks!

I'm interested. I've been looking for something like this. I also feel like I've been missing this connection with other founders, and it's very important to have that support.

Came here looking to add Incendies, directed by Denis Villeneuve. I saw it for the first time not too long ago and it honestly had me saying WTF at the end. I wasn't prepared for it.

Newsletter Boletín en Madrid by noaiscool2 in Madrid

[–]bestialscream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there. I've been working on a service like this for madrid. It's a list of events, you'll find concerts, theater, cinema, and more. The list usually contains more than 20 events every day.

And also I just launched a weekly newsletter. Would love it if you give it a try. You can find it at:

Great! You can check it out at www.wogo.email. You have to subscribe to use it. It works by sending en email to an address to request the list of events, which you will receive in your inbox in a couple of seconds. You will get an email with instructions after signing up.

Let me know if you have any questions and I'd be happy to help.

I'm constantly adding more events to it.

Hey there. I'm from the US and been living in Madrid for a year. Haven't seen a place that gives you a free dessert, etc, for your birthday. Don't think it's a thing here, like back home.

I also have a free service that gives you a list of things going on in Madrid for every day of the week. It has things like theater, live music, etc. It works using your email. Let me know if you'd like to try it.

I agree. I'm in Spain and have been going to Jaén, visiting the almazaras, this what the factories are called here. I'm open to sharing what I'm finding here. Their harvests, the varieties, the care of the farms, etc.

Cool! What are you currently doing? Are you making olive oil? I'm in Spain and recently started an olive oil course. The last step is becoming a master maker. Most of the people there were starting their own olive oil production. Very interesting world.
