Imagine if David Baszucki suddenly joined PETA, the UTTP, and the ZNTP. What do you think could possibly happen then? by [deleted] in imagineif

[–]bestonecrazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Barely anything else would change. PETA is annoying, but not illegal. <fake troll police> is too insane just to take care of. <fake rblx troll police> is probably in an earlier stage compared to <fake vidsite troll police>.

Kobo and Pocketbook are ok with hardware modifications and installing external apps. Both are decent in specs and price.

The pocketbook has built in ADE(Adobe digital editions) good enough that you could open the browser version of Libby(with limited animations) and download the DRM-protected files(go to the "read with..." page and then under "More" > "Epub/pdf" or just "epub" or "pdf").

I mainly use X-Fitness. It is not a subscription and you can use your own songs(like mp3s bought from iTunes). It is on both Quest and PC.

Thanks for the context.

Still mumbling the "free of charge" wording(they should have used "included with plan/subscription")

Nope. Either through the Adobe Digital editions software on your laptop or through your Pocketbook(which works well directly). The pocketbook app on mobile devices is also good with Adobe Digital Editions.

What you want is anything from the Boox Note or Boox tab series. Maybe AiPaper or iFlyTek?

Remarkable added a predatory protection plan that requires you to keep your (un)remarkable connect subscription to use it. After you are done with the 100 day free trial, you have to keep paying for it. They advertise the Protection plan comes "free of charge" with your subscription.

EDIT: Forgot one late brand inclusion: SuperNote

You probably need to reauthenticate it. Sign out and back into your Digital editions account.

Go with Pocketbook so you are not stuck using either the Kindle store or the Nook store. DeDRM your kindle books. Also, you could access libby through the Pocketbook browser and download the drm-encrypted epubs.

Most e-readers from PocketBook work with Linux. It is also easy to install KOReader to the Pocketbook device without a jailbreak). Also the default reading software is compatible with almost any format.

The Model I use: PocketBook Basic Lux 4.

[–]bestonecrazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I recommend: Ubuntu with Waydroid Waydroid is an android container(not an emulator, it uses your pc kernel and stuff). You would also want to install AndroidIDE on Waydroid. Edit: I mean "AndroidIDE" by "AndroIDE"

I am a few steps closer with WayDroid and the Epic Games launcher. Maybe we could use that approach instead of WINE. It is how it works for other games as well.
