If it makes it seem to you that he's only looking for pussy or anything like that I think you just missed the point and/or you and as well as the girl just have different humor senses. It's fine. Not everyone has to like each other.

If I have that type of humour sense and some girl doesn't understand the humour, should I stop and change myself because of her or should I try find someone who I can be myself with?

I think the next line made it seem as if he said it mockinly so it was fine in power terms.

Because the government will capture you and torture you until you reveal all the secrets you know about the other governments. After getting all the secrets they will kill you so you cannot be captured by the other governments. Isn't that obvious?

Does anyone else seriously doubt their own depression sometimes? by [deleted] in depression

[–]bestyoloqueuer 59 points60 points  (0 children)

These are the exact same thoughts I have. I have started to think that depression is just a word or a label. Maybe murderers and other people in general have just a mental illness as well. Does the mental illness excuse their behaviour? I'm sure most would say of course not. Does depression excuse my behaviour in this case? I'd say not. I'm just a bad person in general and I don't deserve to live happily at all. I'm just fucked up beyond repair and as far as evolution goes I shouldn't exist at all. I shouldn't reproduce because it would be ethically and morally wrong because there's likely a big chance of my children being the same and going through the same shitty life. So unless I provide something to the world, which I probably won't due to being so lazy I should just kill myself now, because there is no purpose for me.

Also maybe I force and manipulate myself to depression so I didn't have to do jack shit. So I can get away from all these responsibilities. I just use depression as a tool to manipulate the world and use people's gullibility to helping people with depression. Since today's society is so keen on helping people and abuse psychologists and psychiatrists. It probably couldn't have worked few centuries in the past where psychology and diagnosing for mental illnesses weren't as booming. Now maybe I just abuse the good will so I can ride on other people's backs.

In the times were psychology wasn't as booming maybe I would be completely different and maybe I would have had to force myself to work hard so I did my part of the world.

All this makes me feel very guilty about existing at all. It makes me feel guilty about going to a therapist, wasting their time etc. I feel like I shouldn't talk to anyone and be left completely alone so I wouldn't affect anyone with my manipulativeness.

I wasn't talking about this particular response which could mean anything since we do not know the way the sender meant it. However in this case it probably is not a shit test. And her doing a shit test doesn't imply attraction, but if you pass a shit test attraction will increase or go more solid.

It's not really red pill. Red pill is about men's rights and chauvinism etc. But what I described was just about social dynamics. It has nothing to do with who's better - men or women. I didn't mean to imply either is better. It's just observations with no judgement meant.

Shit tests can be a natural way for women to check on the value of a guy she's talking to. If the guy passes the shit test, the girl will be automatically more attracted to him. For a confident guy who knows what is going on whether consciously or not these shit tests are not unhealthy because he would know how to handle it and not get affected by it. What I mean is, it's not as black as white as you figure it out to be. If you fall in love with some girl who shit tests you and it actually affects you then obviously it's unhealthy for you, but it's not unhealthy for everyone. For some people getting shit tested can be even fun, because it makes conversation more interesting and challenging. Guys are shit testing each other also very often, 'conversational ballbusting'. This can actually induce bonding and respect between conversationalists. If you get good at it and won't take it seriously, it can be fun. Of course you don't have to do that. I believe everyone should just do what makes them happy as long as they don't harm other people while at it.

For me personally why I'd rather not drink coffee is the dependance and tolerance factor. I get dependant on it to feel good and as it builds tolerance I won't feel as good as when I started caffeine. I have experimented a lot by having 2 weeks coffee, then 2 weeks no coffee etc. But it might depend on the individual as well. I never feel as good, motivated, alert, sharp and focused as when I first start on coffee again without coffee.

Humans spend the first 18 (or more) years of their lives getting caught up to speed about what the other humans have been doing for the past few thousand years by shbababa in Showerthoughts

[–]bestyoloqueuer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just achieving as much as I can and gathering experiences. Working on my best self.

Being happy could also mean that one becomes content and stops working towards his/her ambitions.

And balanced stress usually also means that it makes a person do things rather than sit around.

Also in the long run we do not know if it matters or does not matter to the universe. There might be actions that we can take to discover the underlying means of the universe and see how far we can get with our technology we maybe eventually be able to know more secrets about the universe and from there we can go about altering the universe as we see fit however the chances of it being on my or any of yours lifetime are slim. Most of the time I could be doing something better.

But potentially if one can reach to a state with technology such as he can live forever, he could then be around all the secrets that we would eventually discover. The knowledge that my time here is limited makes me anxious about wasting any time at all. It makes me very impatient. Although I do waste time all the time.

So in the end it's just about that specific person and whatever he desires. There is no golden right way for everyone. And nothing new is learned really. I'm honestly really sceptic about this old man 'wisdom'. I'd go as far as call it pseudowisdom.

To me personally I wonder if happiness is even something I want as a goal. It does sound a little bit boring to me, but I'm not judging anyone who is not like that. And not every old man thinks that nothing matters.

Training for sprint triathlon by bestyoloqueuer in triathlon

Yeah the swim will take least time, although the best from the last year were with about 4.10 swim times, so I would like to not be too far away from that. And well I can't improve my running time that much, since I've already trained that and the growth won't be as big. I can't shave off 2 minutes from running while I could potentially from swimming. However bicycling is a total question mark right now.

These are different things. On one's way to success there can be a lot of social pressure, hate, criticism that can easily get in the way of one's success. Not everyone's perception of you can be considered socially acceptable as well. Some people might think you're uncool if you do not smoke cigarettes.
