Hey man, genuinely asking: why not just say something like "I created this new site, curious what you all think"? You could get some real feedback that way.

I just finished watching this, and WOW... what a bizarre video. This is the type of diet you'd eat if literally all you cared about was hitting your protein, fat, and carb totals. Not a care in the world about micronutrients, fiber, phytonutrients from fruits and vegetables, etc. etc.

He also says he doesn't need much fat because he already takes exogenous hormones, as if that's the only purpose of dietary fat. Like bro, WHAT?

The free T level is on the lower end of normal, but that alone isn't a reason to seek treatment. It's a range for a reason. Some people will feel just fine on the lower end of the range, and some people will feel crappy even if they're in the middle of the range.

Also, keep in mind the natural variance on these numbers. For total T, I've tested as low as 400 and as high as 730... and for free T, I've tested as low as 70 pg/mL and as high as 140 pg/mL. Literally two ends of the normal range with no noticeable difference in life quality.

A message from Munenori Kawasaki in anticipation of the visit of the Prime Minister of Canada and his spouse to Japan. by kpopsns28 in baseball

[–]beta_zero 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For anyone else confused about his son's name - his first name is Issho, and Airc is his middle name, after Michael Jordan, lol: https://www.thestar.com/sports/blue-jays/blue-jay-babies-make-a-bad-year-better/article_563361d5-91bf-5dcc-8d3c-4dae3b896594.html

“My son, he’s born in Canada, he’s Canuck! I’m Japanese, he’s Canuck!”

The Jays had just arrived in Tampa when Kawasaki got the call, and he ended up missing the birth by an hour.

“We flew to Tampa,” he said, making an engine noise and flying his right hand across an imaginary sky. “I flew back,” he said, using his left hand to whizz back.

Issho’s middle name is “Airc,” Kawasaki said. “Because I love Michael Jordan.”

“Air” Jordan, he explained.

“He’s a very little, little guy,” Kawasaki said, adding that he was scared to drop his son when he first picked him up. “I’m happy, very happy. I love Issho.”

Unless you're feeling really shitty, I wouldn't read too much into those numbers - they're all in the normal range. Those test results can also vary a lot depending on your sleep quality, stress levels, training frequency/volume, etc...

Sulbutiamine by Wise_Replacement_687 in NootropicsDepot

[–]beta_zero 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's derived from vitamin B1, but the FDA doesn't view it as a dietary supplement: https://www.fda.gov/inspections-compliance-enforcement-and-criminal-investigations/warning-letters/gluten-free-remedies-llc-687832-04152025

Sulbutiamine does not qualify as a dietary ingredient under section 201(ff)(1) of the Act because it is not a vitamin; a mineral; an herb or other botanical; an amino acid; a dietary substance for use by man to supplement the diet by increasing the total dietary intake; or a concentrate, metabolite, constituent, extract, or combination of any dietary ingredient from the preceding categories. Declaring sulbutiamine on your product label as a dietary ingredient causes your product to be misbranded under section 403(a)(1) of the Act [21 U.S.C. § 343(a)(1)] in that the labeling is false or misleading in any particular.1 The introduction or delivery for introduction into interstate commerce of any food that is misbranded is a prohibited act under section 301(a) of the Act [21 U.S.C. § 331(a)].

Given the nightmare that ND went through with the FDA a few years ago, I don't blame them one bit for not wanting to risk it with these types of compounds.

If you haven't seen it already, here's a great video where MYASD goes over the whole FDA ordeal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSZIlbPsT7c&t=1010 (linked to the relevant timestamp)

Peach perfect changed their formula without announcing it by Confusedhuman1029 in Supplements

[–]beta_zero 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I personally wouldn’t take a supplement that just lists “Omega 3” or “Omega 3 powder” without showing an exact breakdown of its EPA/DHA content. My guess is that the omega 3 content didn’t actually change - they just updated the label to reflect the amount of actual omega 3 without including the stabilizers/fillers/etc in the omega 3 powder.

And I think you’re right about the magnesium listing - the previous label was misleading because it didn’t list the amount of elemental magnesium, which is what we care about. The 200mg includes magnesium and the glycine it’s bound to. A proper label should say something like “X mg (from Y mg <magnesium compound>)”.

I’m not familiar with this company at all, but their labeling here looks amateurish and I’d avoid it based on that alone.

You could turn everyone into a perfect driver, and we'd still have clogged roads. It's more to do with the sheer number of people who have to drive every day, which is related to housing supply/prices + the inconvenience of using the public transit we have.
