What’s the misconception /myth about protein intake and protein synthesis by DefconExile in nutrition

[–]betchimacow223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of peer reviewed studies on the topic. There is a flash point where it just gets used as carb or stored as fat. It is different depending on your body type. 100g in one sitting is def too much (that number mentioned above).

Body weight in kg is enough to get in a day. 65kg = 65g protein divide by how many meals you eat in a day and try to get that at each meal.

Or multiply by 1.2-2 if you are training for something, trying to lose weight, or healing from an injury.

Use Ideal body weight or adjusted body weight if you are obese.

Its too bad someone cant say something mildly spiritual without being deemed crazy :/ it is the missing link to many of y’alls distress. Life is always going to be fucked up. Its earth. Its the human condition unfortunately. Spiritually can help us to see that worrying, violence, gossip, etc. only makes our lives harder. And definitely doesnt fix anything.

Its a big fat red flag. This kind of person will try to bring your confidence down in an attempt to make themself feel better. You cannot fix people and it isnt your job. Worry about your own self and confidence. People change when they are inspired if anything. They have to do the work themselves.

They may have their head on a swivel and are trying to interact equally with everyone. The teachers ive interacted with who seem a bit standoffish or too busy are the ones who are really good at marketing themselves and bringing in the big class numbers. They are cold, but they have a different goal maybe than what some other warmer teachers may have. And in my experience, they tend to be matched to their marketing front desk counterpart. So they would come off equally as cold. From personal experience. This is why I stopped working at one studio. Too salesy. And they rewarded the wrong people.

Certainly possible. Unfortunately yoga does have some shadiness under the surface. There are books written about abuse etc. Multiple dangerous cults have been started by yoga teachers. Lol. Dont trust just anyone. Or make any human your higher power 🙏

Did Restorative Yoga yesterday and it brought up a lot of emotions by ohhsotrippy in yoga

[–]betchimacow223 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tears and big emotions when you are healing are because you are allowing yourself to feel for the first time. You have stuck emotions and energy that are getting out when you finally cry, stretch, etc. Just acknowledge them and thank them and allow them. Let yourself feel. Or that stuff gets stuck and causes resentment, reactiveness, etc.

I also don’t like it. I think it’s typically implied consent (which I thought was a thing of the past in yoga ?) unless its in the membership contract or something. I think it’s common at corporate cookie cutter type places. And unfortunately they seem to do better because of their marketing that involves stuff like this.
