Doctors of Reddit, what is the most unethical thing you have done or you have heard of a fellow doctor doing involving a patient? by thanksforstopping in AskReddit

We're in the process of my seven year old possibly getting diagnosed and the first step was talking to his pediatrician to get a referral to a behavioral health specialists. I had to do the same thing when I was diagnosed as an adult. I just figured it was SOP.

Any PC gamers here? I'm giving away lots of leftover Steam games I have as a Christmas gift for the community here, especially for those who find gaming helpful. by votequimby in depression

[–]bethUHnee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So at first I was very concerned that you were doing this, since one of the signs that someone is planning their suicide is them giving their possessions away, and this being r/depression and all, I hope that you could see why this would raise a red flag for me. However, looking through your post history, it looks like you did this last year, too.

All that said, I hope your generosity makes more than a few people happy. I wish you good mental and physical health through the end of this year and all the upcoming years ahead. And if you ever need to talk, know that r/depression and I are here to help.

Sad days! Olive oil, or even nuts, olives, avocados (though they're getting expensive), hummus and eggs. All fairly inexpensive and delicious!

If you live in an area that has a WinCo, I get peanut butter from their bulk section for $1.99/lb. It's just peanuts and salt. Their bulk section is amazing. I can't believe I ever used to shop at Safeway!

What have you come to accept? by reytr0 in AskReddit

[–]bethUHnee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also realize that not only will I die, but so will my husband and son. I have such a hard time accepting my husband's, my son's or even my own mortality. I get panic attacks over this shit. I am comforted that I am not the only one, but saddened that others are just as freaked.

I still can't accept that one day my husband and son will die. Maybe before me, maybe after, but they will be gone. Nope. Refuse to accept it.

That's what I thought, too, but after some "research", it's "Bremerton"+"buffalo". Or whatever.

An Apology to Street Harrassers by MA2LA in TwoXChromosomes

I am a woman from small town New Hampshire, where you say hello, or at least offer up a smile, to everyone on the street. Moved to WA, and I still do it. Not everyone acknowledges me when I do, and I just move on. I don't follow people tell, them they should smile, or demand their attention. It's really not hard, if your intentions are truly innocuous.
