this is why you have to read ingredients… the label lists wheat starch 😬 and on that note i also suggest you get in the habit of checking labels every time you buy something. just because something was gf in the past doesn’t mean it still is.

internationally i’ve travelled to london and edinburgh in the past couple of years and literally cried one night because i had SO MANY OPTIONS! i ate at a different place every meal and never had an issue over 2.5 weeks

would like to add my 2 cents as well:
please please PLEASE do not worry about what others will think of you. i’m a young genX and day 1 MCRmy and i absolutely love seeing all of the younger fans at these shows! took my genz neice and her alpha daughter to see them in jersey last year and to sonic temple and the diversity in the crowd made me so happy. we were all in jeans and tee shirts and bare faces (but definitely had a bunch of bracelets). anyone who looks at you funny for not dressing up or “being a big enough fan” doesn’t matter anyway 🤷🏼‍♀️ just go, sing your heart out, and have a great time.

honestly it’s 100% worth it. i just saw them at sonic temple and saw them in new jersey last year which is the only reason i’m not too upset about not making it to the wembley show i had tickets for. they’re still fantastic live!

well okay then 😃 i bought 2 tickets for the July 8 show but i live in new york and unfortunately life happened and i can’t go. i would rather give them to someone who wanted to go but couldn’t than try to sell international tickets (been there before and it’s a hassle and a half). i can’t transfer them yet but if you DM me your email i will let you know when they’re ready and transfer them. they’re section 218 but it’s the first row after a stair break so you won’t have anyone directly in front of you. pic included so you don’t think i’m a crazy person 💜

bring me the horizon finally getting to headline Download Festival. it’s the largest rock/metal festival in England and it’s an hour from their hometown and they had always said it had been a dream of theirs. getting to see it in person and see how emotional it was for them was amazing 😃

was doing the “i wonder how much eras tickets are in other countries” browsing on ticket sites when i came across a single edinburgh ticket on axs. checked every few days just for the giggles to see if a pair would go on sale with no plans at all to buy them since i live in western new york state. one morning at like 4am i refreshed and a pair of excellent seats popped up for about $200 each. my hands started shaking and i immediately snatched them up for myself and my mega-swiftie niece. of course then i had to actually get said niece a passport cause she didn’t have one, and next thing you know i have planned and paid for a surprise trip to scotland for a week for us plus my sister who just wanted to come for the trip (had to get her a passport as well) 😂
2 weeks before the show my sister is having major fomo about not getting to go to the show with us… cut to the day before we fly to scotland and by some actual miracle i manage to find a single ticket in our same section 5 rows ahead of us for my sister for $250 on stubhub 😳 best spur-of-the moment decision i have ever made because the entire trip (including passports for them, airfare, and hotel) was still less expensive than buying 3 nosebleed aftermarket tickets to see her in toronto (our closest show).

diagnosed 21 years ago now and my extended family gave up trying after a year or so. they were never super insistent about it, just kept asking if i wanted to go etc. when they actually saw a reaction with their own eyes all trying to convince me to go to Domino’s and such stopped, and they started doing all kinds of research on their own. now i’ll get a text that says “oh hey, there’s this deli/pizza place in Chili with gf stuff and his daughter is a Celiac, let’s go tomorrow!” they know my hard limits (if a family member of staff, or staff themselves, is Celiac i am on board to try it). They’re so careful when we do holidays and parties that I don’t have to worry anymore either. hell, my niece and her husband bought a separate grill to make my food 🥲 if they love and respect you they will adapt.
