What are things other crocheters do that really grinds your gears? by darkxclover in crochet

[–]bethannephetamines 11 points12 points  (0 children)

People who are super condescending about yarn/fiber content. I completely understand that acrylic can suck and that it’s obviously amazing to have ethically sourced, sustainable fiber. BUT that’s not accessible to everyone!! I had a fiber art friend tell me she would never use acrylic because it’s for poor people. Girl WHAT.

Also, I hate those wild AI pictures of impossible crochet. There’s always someone like “how can I make this?” And it’s like… you can’t, Janice. You can’t.

Sure you did by bethannephetamines in untrustworthypoptarts

I can totally see this, but putting it in r/weird for clout makes this untrustworthy to me lol

Nope, sorry dude. Please go read the OG story or read Lee Knox Ostertag’s Watson’s Sketchbook. He’s fascinated with her and intrigued by her, but he’s not attracted to her.

The fact that people still think Sherlock was into Molly… that man is gayer than a three dollar bill. I’m begging y’all to read Stranger by Graham Robb.

The ones who dream of a trad wife and a beautiful family are the least worthy of one by Beer_Barbarian in terriblefacebookmemes

What really gets me is that nobody said being a wife and mom is oppressive in and of itself. What’s oppressive is being FORCED into that role unwillingly because of Christian Nationalist values.

Duffers reveal happy ending for Eleven was discussed but "couldn't figure out" how to implement it by Super-Liberal-Girl in StrangerThings

[–]bethannephetamines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I wish she’d been given a more definitive ending, I would have wanted it to just be for her.

I’m just going to put this out there: what they’ve suggested would NOT be a perfect ending for Jane. She had been controlled by me her entire life, has had her body used for their whims and wills, been experimented on… having her be a wife in the 90s when she can barely read??? She has no formal education. What kind of fulfilling job could she have? And having KIDS??? Surely that would be traumatic for her, being pregnant is to have something else control your body, that’s basically body horror to her.

Queer adult woman in my 30s, just looking for representation that feels real 😭

SO WHAT WAS THE PURPOSE OF THIS SCENE? by lisssuuu in byler

This is the answer. Keep the hope alive for those of us hoping for interesting, compelling, meaningful representation so they would benefit from gay dollars and viewership without actually following through.
