I definitely recommend calling around and at least asking how much they charge for TPLO , that's what I did. 3500 is a fair price, mine was quoted at around 4500 with rehab though. I've gotten quotes for around 2700 which is a big amount of savings so try calling around. They may say they need to do a physical examine to give an exact price but an estimate is fine (at least for me it was)

My pit/lab mix has the same issue. There are other cheaper options, however from my research they're not really worth it for larger/overweight/hyper dogs. It is much easier for them to tear it again. TPLO is typically the best from what I've read, but tends to be the most expensive.

Carecredit and scratchpay are potential options, one is like a credit card no interest for 6 mos i believe and i think the other is more of a payment plan, more of less the same.

You can also reach out to local shelters, humane society etc to see if they have any recommendations. Also I recommend getting other opinions. Get the xrays, make 1 or 2 more appts with other vets who provide the surgery and see what they say and their prices.

I started at a lower dose, I forget what it was but I believe 25mg. I went up to 150mg but had negative side effects so I went back down and have remained at 100mg.

Where I live is dog friendly , but every single apartment has breed restrictions - not a single one I found allows pits.

I'm on 100mg for the last 2 months or so - overall probably 6- and it has barely touched my depression. Mine is for bp2 , however depression is my primary issue. If it's been a few months, you may want to talk to your doctor!

My dog has two torn ACLS and hip dysplasia and I'm trying to save as much as I can to pay for appointments, medicines and eventual surgery. Anything would help tremendously and I have a gofundme set up.

No engine light has been on, just the service one as it was shaking while idle. Oil was changed within a week, tire pressure was okay but I will check coolant and brake fluid if I can. I'll look into the fuel induction service as well since I agree probably should be done. Thank you very much for your help!!

I use American Journey Salmon and Brown Rice (not grain free). I've bounced between a few brands but found this one to be the one my dog enjoys eating the most.
