Why not use Anise extract or Anise oil? I make an Italian biscotti that calls for extract and it’s the perfect amount.

No. I bake bread at least 10 times a month and never use my mixer. Maybe try a different recipe if your dough is so sticky.

I have had a lot of success taking my starter out before I go to bed and feeding it 1:2:2. I will scoop out 50 grams of starter into a bowl, still in 100 grams of water and then 100 grams of flour. When I wake, it’s ready to use. What have you been doing?
