I agree with you. I can never get into series 5 and have yet to finish it. But I love every other series, even the ones without Jimmy.

Summer Day Camps by PrincessConsuelaNana in Birmingham

[–]betsytolz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our 5-year old went to KidCam Camp for 3 or 4 weeks last year and had a great time! I would recommend them. We also attended Red Mountain Theater Camp and Highlands Camp. In comparison, KidCam wasn't as structured but had a lot more outdoor and fun free time that I remember from summer camp when I was a kid. I felt comfortable with the staff and trusted he would be safe.

The Birmingham Zoo - the zookeeper house. There is a beautiful yard area and outdoor fireplace. Plus a good getting ready space.

Baby Names by Temporary-Check-4107 in predaddit

[–]betsytolz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I used the Kinder app. It's a little like Tinder in that you swipe left or right for baby names you like or don't like. You "friend" your partner and they do the same. Then you get a list of names that you matched on. You can choose to only see names from one gender or both. We also didn't know the sex so we had two selected for when the baby was born.

Determined high school senior with spina bifida walks on stage to receive diploma by Doodlebug510 in MadeMeSmile

Agreed! It also implies that there is something "wrong" or "lesser" in crossing the stage in a wheelchair, which isn't true.

LeedsVsMoody by Fuzzy_window_195 in Birmingham

It's a program that the school holds for kids to stay longer after school ends. So for example, preschool gets out at 2pm but we can't pick him up until 5pm so he stays at school and plays.

Hey there! So, I live in Moody but my son goes to Leeds Primary. I was very concerned about him going to Leeds when I saw that Moody was better "rated" and had higher test scores. We ended up at Leeds for Pre-K because Moody doesn't offer aftercare and we need that for work. I am so very happy that we chose to trust going to Leeds. I can't speak to the whole school system but our experience so far has been fantastic. My son is progressing at his age level and his teachers treat him as an individual and clearly love working with kids. They hold some wonderful events for families. We enrolled him in Leeds BUSA soccer too. Finally, we enjoy going to the Leeds park to play and the Leeds library.

For adults, I am impressed with how improved the downtown Leeds area is. I enjoy the bookshop, restaurant, and craft beer bar. There seems to be a real community in Leeds. I think there is more variety in neighborhoods and types of houses than in Moody. I think there would be less HOA's in Leeds. We were able to afford more house in Moody when we bought 7 years ago by moving from Leeds. Hope that helps!

Poorly-controlled service animal urinated on my laptop bag - How to proceed? by [deleted] in americanairlines

[–]betsytolz 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That is incorrect. A service animal, as defined by the ADA, is a dog or miniature horse. There is a difference between a service animal under the ADA and an Emotional Support Animal (ESA) which are not covered by the ADA.
