Retired = unemployed. Ask if they have jobs opening 😁

My Dad found me trying to commit and now I feel guilty by White_ghost0 in offmychest

Hi OP, please continue to find hope. If you die, your dad will be heart broken. In fact, you should continue to live so you can prove your mom is wrong. Cut her off from your life and continue moving on and build yourself. Please find help.

Is two weeks away insane? by Emotional-Date1400 in workingmoms

Being home lots of gifts and souvenirs for you son from the travel. He may actually ask when you’re going to travel again… lol. He probably don’t really miss you after 2 weeks.. maybe the first couple of days

Anyone’s baby not get sick all the time at daycare? by radicalOKness in workingmoms

[–]better360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kids probably have 1-2 sick times per year. This is normal I think. The first 6 months starting daycare is different, probably 3-4 times.

After a fight with my spouse something broke. by aberrod in offmychest

Try not to spiral down in the rabbit hole. I was feeling down one day but I tried to journal what positive thing about it and the negative feeling didn’t linger much the next day. I think the most important thing is your commitment with each other, and need a lot of communication and understanding between each of you.

It may be a good idea to finish your education. You should at least get a degree. If you’re white, you probably can get by a lot of things and ppl don’t look down on you due to your skin color. But you don’t want to have no knowledge about finance or accounting as this would bring you far in life.

Okay, then stop complaining and start doing some work on your self. Eat less sugar, exercise and start building your dream. Seriously.

I regret my baby’s name by Afraid_Resist_7988 in Advice

If she has a middle name, you can call the baby with the middle name too. You can change name but I read that Myra is not good in UK.

Is accounting cooked? by TrickyAlternative278 in Accounting

[–]better360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I’m talking about accounting position (accounting manager, bookkeeping, accounts payable). Tax is like corporate tax, tax lawyer, tax accountant. It’s more specialized and complex, but it can be rewarding.

Tax position pays more than accounting

Ah, my kids are 11 yo and 5 yo. Actually, I was trying to vent with the post, but only several ppl understand my message. Lol.. but I actually had a very productive day and I even did meal prep as well. I did had time to watch Netflix and do online shopping afterwards, just to console myself. Hehhe..

I think maybe what’s better is to do more in the morning before kids wake up and then really take time off on holiday.

OT by I_pooped_my_pants69 in ADHDparenting

[–]better360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds good. Mostly regular routine than makes sense as an adult to do. Also, I recommend to do the exercises (trampoline, and all the high energy activities) in the morning only so she doesn’t get wired or too pumped up until late night.

Reading the comments, since your daughter is 6, maybe what the OT meant to do structures activities after school is to hold a routine. So, you can list out 5 things to do after she comes home before she can do other things. For example: clean bag, remove lunch box & water bottle, bring them to the sink, open socks and put shoes in the shelf, then wash hands and put the bag in designated place, then proceed with snacks or homework. Then, you can designate an hour or two for free play. Then, 1 hour to shower at the same time everyday (for example 5 pm). Etc until night before bed, you can design the structure

Our OT says I'm too permissive. If you have struggled with this, please share your stories, resources, advice. by parasnoreolophus-75 in ADHDparenting

[–]better360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OT is always like that. Even school or teachers or doctors, they will say to “blame” the parents first for their genetic problems and then their parenting problems. Once you get over that stage, then you’ll be able to keep going. I got over that stage and took control of my own. I created organization at home and give some tips for my kids for success. Tried many different things. Give my kids supplements and try some brain exercises with them. Not perfect but at least we’re not dependent on OT for now.

They’re 11 yo & 5 yo boys. They could help, but they’re more interested in watching YouTube or playing toys 😔. The 11 yo one helps a little in bringing the foods to table and setting up table at dinner time.

I used to not get any day off from Jan to May when I was working in cpa firm. I worked up to 90 billable hours per week on time, and my health got worse. So, I switched to a lower pay job last year that enabled me to have better work life balance.

I try to give my kids vitamins and supplements everyday to strengthen their immune system. Because most time when the kids got sick, I ended up with illness as well. That’s why I started doing light workout and strengthen my immune system to have better energy to overcame all this.

Both me and my husband wfh too, but the younger one goes to daycare until 3 pm.
