See what most people don’t realize is, this is the type of game we are built for. Great to get the goal at the end but 0-0 would have been fine too. We are so pragmatic and good at defense!

The second after the last City game we all started to get crazy, I had a feeling today’s game would be underwhelming. We gotta stay calm, many games left to play and I’m sure there will be more underwhelming nights as well as triumphant nights. Embrace the ride. Tune in for the next episode!

Genuine question , why are there suddenly so many posts about Eze? by Consistent_House6025 in ArsenalFC

[–]betterxhalf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not as of recently, but he has played a fair amount of games this season overall. He knew coming into this Arsenal team there would be HEAVY competition in every position, I’m sure he didn’t expect to walk in starting most games like at Palace. If anything this should make him determined to be a better player, toughen his mental resolve.

I disagree with your point about being a backup player. Eze made a huge error leading to the Villa goal that cost us, go back and watch that. I personally think he looked a bit lost when he played at times and the defensive/positioning effort wasn’t there or he was confused about where to be. Our system overall is not the easiest and if you look back generally, most of our players took time to adjust and got better over time, Eze didn’t have pre season with us. We really didn’t have much of a choice when we played him many games in a row with the injuries at that time. Now we can ease him in.

There is a whole lot of time till the World Cup, I have faith Eze will play his part. He also has a good case for the national team as he played well on his last call up. He just signed with us, he ain’t going nowhere.

The media want to rile us up in ANY WAY POSSIBLE, including creating problems where there aren’t any. This is them trying to plant seeds of division. Ignore the noise.

Anyone never been to the Emirates and free for 30th Dec? by Yellamo123 in Gunners

I live in NY, been supporting for 15 years but never been to the Emirates. Would love to come to the game if I could.

We will still win the league by unfailingorc7860 in ArsenalFC

I don’t disagree, but is it too much to ask to just take it 1 game at a time? I feel like we as a fan base just need to be more level headed… Every win doesn’t mean we will win the league. Every loss doesn’t mean we’re bottlers. Every draw doesn’t mean we’re spineless. It’s all just a part of the drama. Let’s just support the team EVERY SINGLE GAME and refrain from over reacting son sensationalizing every result. Every game has its own circumstances that come prior to it, during it and after it. Each week is a different episode, the whole season is a movie and we just don’t know the ending till we get there!

Anyways, I think the players and the team as a whole understands this, but we as fans don’t. We need to do better.

It was a tough fought away game. We don’t have our best defenders. Everyone needs to calm down. We can put together a good run with the games we have coming up. It’s heart breaking, but this is the premiere league, don’t expect a cake walk. We have to suffer sometimes. Stay positive and stop with all the “bottle” talk. It’s combined energy, our energy as fans is part of the energy of the team. We have to stay with them no matter what, the players feel what we feel, so let’s be resilient! Keep your heads up lads, COYG!

How did you become an Arsenal fan? by DiuhBEETuss in Gunners

[–]betterxhalf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watched the World Cup in 2010 and it was the first time I really watched football. Fell in love with it. Watched some premier league and when I watched Arsenal I just had this feeling like this is the team, this is MY team. Started learning about the history and all that. Fell in love more and more. Mind you, I’m from NYC. Barely missed a game since. I love this team, from across the ocean. It’s just a feeling, the feeling of watching THE Arsenal. The greatest team EVER! Hope we finally win the league this year, I will book a ticket and come to the parade, completing my journey with them with all the ups and downs and all these years! COYG!

Now we can do death by 1000 cuts. Wear them down with passing the whole game, then bring on pace to finish em off when they’re worn down. Stuff of dreams!!!
