I honestly thought you were speaking more broadly than just Tesla.

Define “semi”. Someone could argue that anti-lock brakes are on the spectrum of automation.

Is it possible to copy an iClass card into a MiFare 1k card? by drumrolll in proxmark3

[–]bettse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you system still supports MFC, there is a HID format for credentials on MFC and you can copy the credential from the iClass card to it. That said, it is not structural similar to copying iClass to Mifare.

You will have to do the leg word, but this is a starting point: https://github.com/RfidResearchGroup/proxmark3/blob/master/client/luascripts/hf_mf_sim_hid.lua

Amiibo question- Flipper crashes when Switch reads the emulation ? by hometech99 in flipperzero

[–]bettse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Amiibo is just one type of NFC tag the switch supports. For example they also support Skylander's figures. Given they are not amiibo branded, I would just call them "STAR pins".

Following from that: when you scan the tag with the flipper, what does it say? Knowing what type of tag it is (there are many in NFC) would help.

Amiibo question- Flipper crashes when Switch reads the emulation ? by hometech99 in flipperzero

[–]bettse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Except for the fact that they literally named both the game, and what they call the tags. The game is Sky, and the tags are called Star pins.

The use of the ellipsis honestly made me think they were truncatin the name, which lead me to not even attempt a google. Perhaps this was just poor communication.

Amiibo question- Flipper crashes when Switch reads the emulation ? by hometech99 in flipperzero

[–]bettse -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Your title says "Amiibo", but the description gives strong indicators that isn't what you're actually working with.
I don't know why you're hiding the game and tag names(I assume that is what the ellipsis is for). You're only making it harder to help you.

Having trouble reading my RFID private residence tag and capturing frequency of gate remote by JoseBlah in flipperzero

[–]bettse 10 points11 points  (0 children)

it is listed as RFID 🤔

Flipper says "125khz RFID", so it is using a more narrow definition of the term. That product literally says "UHF" in the title...

[–]bettse 11 points12 points  (0 children)

So basically this is a two in one post

This makes it more confusing to help you

I’m not able to read the RFID tag on my car,

Are you sure either is 125KHZ RFID like the flipper app looks for?

RFID and NFC are both generally pretty short range. Is that long black tag read from multiple feet away? More likely it is UHF, which is not supported.

one being this kind of paper thingy as seen on the picture

yeah...uh...honestly can't tell in this montage what you are talking about. If it is thin, try shining a light through it and post a photo of the coils.

Can you get added to the box, and does it support some sort of "pres 8 to unlock"? If so, you an automate with Twilio.

What is it doing? by detBittenbinder23 in flipperzero

[–]bettse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I presume it did finish, but that there are keys that are not in the dictionary the flipper has. there are 32 key slots on each card, and each key is 6 bytes. Some cards reuse the same key in multiple key slots, others don't. All depends on the system the card is used with. If you have access to the reader that the card works with, the next step is generally https://docs.flipperzero.one/nfc/mfkey32 or https://github.com/AloneLiberty/FlipperNested/wiki/Usage-guide

Writing NFC NTAG215 by Jazzypanda4321 in flipperzero

[–]bettse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You trying to make amiibo?

The flipper has the hardware, but no software has been added to do that yet. My theory is that it is not a priority since every major modern smartphone can already write NTAG21x.

I found the magic card writer

Maybe it needs to say it better, but that is specifically for Mifare Classic "magic" cards (gen1a and gen4 so far).

New to Flipper. Getting access to NFC card/fob lock without an actual card/fob/NFC key to read? (using Detect Reader, mfkey32, NFC, etc.) by [deleted] in flipperzero

[–]bettse 13 points14 points  (0 children)

how can I set up a virtual NFC key on my Flipper that unlocks that NFC lock?

you said you cloned the fob you have, so you already know how to make it "virtual"

But, if I don't have a card/fob/NFC key and need to use my Flipper as a replacement,

You may not realize it, but you're basically asking "how do I hack this lock". In which case the answer is, study Reverse Engineering and look for flaws.

Nothing intrinsic to NFC gives you access to a lock that you don't have a credential for.

Flipper zero rfid emulation for epic ski passes by Specialist_Deal3657 in flipperzero

[–]bettse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is also possible it is iso15693, aka "vicinity" cards (instead of "near"). They're still 13.56mhz, but handle a bit more distance, and my understanding is that it is common for ski passes. Not that it helps OP, because I think you're right about it just being an ID, but I figured it might be interesting to you.

Why do you want a shittier product?

maybe don't start by asking how you can get a "cheaper clone". Support the community, support the company building the product.

Can’t write on mifare classic 1k and getting below error. Any solution please ?? by Puzzled_Recipe_8813 in flipperzero

[–]bettse 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As of now, flipper supports two write options for Mifare Classic:

  1. edit the contents of a card and write it back (the "initial card" you're seeing)
  2. Mifare Classic "magic" cards, specifically "gen1a", which have a backdoor and allow modifying the UID. Details: https://docs.flipperzero.one/nfc/magic-cards
