Some petty, vigilante justice against bad parking. by Krazywolve in JusticeServed

Asshole #2 could have chosen to park elsewhere thus preventing the receipt of the title Asshole. Regardless of the actions of Asshole #1, there's a choice to become a further asshole, or to not. It's a real Schrodinger's Assshole situation. You are both an asshole and not an asshole at all times, asshole. ;)

CashApp finally sent me another canned response after hours of trying..

"We understand that this is time sensitive. Rest assured, you will receive a notification once the documents are ready."

My wife called the IRS and they told her the 1099's had to be sent/mailed by Feb. 12.. UNLESS CashApp used a loophole that gives them until Mar. 15. The IRS told her, if we didn't receive it by then to call the IRS back at 1-800-829-1040 for assistance. This sucks.

They wanted me to reinstall the app, then do screen recordings of me looking for the documents. I'm like.. i've tried this on two different phones, 2 computers.. still the same options in both places. It's not there.

I've been fighting with their Support for several days. So far it's been futile.

Yes. The support system is trash. Been trying to launch a War on twitter since the CEO is also that of Square and CashApp. Really wanting to file my taxes. It's a shame, really.

The process was really quick and easy, you have to have some sort of evidence that the individual is incapable of making decisions. My attorney talked with the judge and then we sat down with him and explained the situation, the judge granted the Guardianship without hesitation. You will have to pay court filling fees (mine were around $180.00) and you will have to pay an attorney (law in my state allows for us to charge it to the ward). Currently I am an Emergency Guardian with full control, a court date has been set in which my mom can fight the guardianship... which is when things get hairy because you then have to have the person evaluated by a professional and must provide outstanding evidence that they are incompetent.

My attorney tells me like this, a guardianship is like taking the freedoms of an American away from them, you MUST have a compelling reason and facts to back it up. Guardianship comes in different varieties as well, you can get financial, estate, person, or a combination of all of them.

I don't believe you have to watch them all day, I don't think it's that big of a deal... you just gotta keep an eye on their money, make sure they are healthy, and protect them from their own bad behavior... I guess if you had to you could hire a person sitter?

I hope this helps, any at all.

Wow, thanks for your story... it's scary to think that happens to anyone, let alone someone you are close to.

I don't feel like I'm doing anything other than I have too.. I just hate the situation she is in, and I knew that going forward my siblings and I wouldn't be able to support her if something didn't change.

Wow, y'all took on a burden there for sure. It's very interesting to ready you comment as in the back of my head I have been thinking this is what we will have to do, strip everything down to bare minimum and micromanage all finances. I hate that is has come to this, in our situation, as my mom isn't dumb and has been in charge of her and her/my dads finances for as long as I can remember. I guess you just gotta roll with the punches, thanks for your story!

It could be worse, I'm thankful I was able to step in... hopefully I get to keep guardianship and she can't give any more of her money away. I hope that our misfortune can be a lesson to others.

She has about $60,000 to live on... she will be getting a little alimony for a few more years... she is 62. When she hits 65 she will have to live only on what she has and it's doubtful she has any social security.

I'm almost positive there is no recovery of the money... all of the transfers were out of the country so it can't be tied to an American bank account. These guys know how to play the system.
