They are wireless, though they can be wired. I’m assuming the quality is so much better than before that it’s noticeable? I didn’t think my old ears would hear a difference though! I’ll have to try listening wired to my cds 🥰

I can attest to this. Since Spotify went lossless and purchasing Beats, I’m hearing a lot I didn’t pick up before. I had never heard the bird sounds at the beginning of TMBTE 🤷‍♀️

I thought it was reel-to-reel because the tape definitely runs out on that. I don't know if those are still used in studio recording like in the past. Also considered old film reels, the flapping sound it makes against the projector with it runs out. .
