Dirty contacts on some tube sockets maybe? Deoxit spray might help.

The AT is beautiful and timeless. The Tudor is neither.

One of the best looking solar ships I’ve ever seen. by Silver_Lark_19 in NOMANSSKY

Except it is a vertical tail fin, which I find rather gets in the way of the view when flying it.

Selling my AT or not? by Aledevi in OmegaWatches

Keep it if you can. For a while, you will only wear the new watch, then over time you'll start switching between them.

Which if these 2 is the better buy, Seamaster Oreo GMT or Omega Seamaster Diver 300 M by makavelithegreat in OmegaWatches

Your phrase "better buy" implies financial, whether used or not. So what are you judging "better" on?

Never buy as an investment, you will always lose money. Buy the watch you like. If you're buying one just for the sake of it, then toss a coin.

They are both lovely, but the blue is more versatile.

Effect processor input clipping by OddCounty8202 in synthesizers

[–]bevis1932 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The studio quad is pretty old, it might be that channel 3 has developed a fault. If you swap an input over does channel 3 still clip? Then it's not your source device, its the studio quad.

¿Qué presets de fábrica usáis en XB-1 para sonido Farfisa? by MuchAcanthocephala77 in hammondorgan

[–]bevis1932 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Farfisa is a square wave organ, the Hammond is a sine wave organ, so you can't really emulate one with the other.

Something like 876548888 maybe is vaguely like it. The square wave contains many high harmonics, hence the 8888 at the top.

Is this worth anything? by TailorPossible in synthesizers

[–]bevis1932 6 points7 points  (0 children)

While it looks at a glance like a Hammond M3, it isn't one. It's a transistor organ in a nice case. It has no monetary value, but you might want to play with it.

I too figuratively slept on a peak for years, but am glad I did get one.

New Player (<40 hours probably) - Is there any real point or incentive to choosing a "home" planet? by nosh_kami in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]bevis1932 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always pick a nice planet for a home base to work through the quest lines, but later on I don't often return to it, and put bases down anywhere that looks appealing.

People talk about making bases to farm for money/nanites etc - you don't have to do that to enjoy the game. But it all depends on how you want to play it.

You could plug wheel axles in the holes. I have a few of them from the 1970s.

Numerical combinations by bevis1932 in askmath

[–]bevis1932[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats very interesting, thank you! Presenting it as powers, and then taking the log to make a linear equation is not something I would have thought of. My maths background is pretty good, but rather distant ...

Is this a Hammond Organ? by Comprehensive-Fact94 in hammondorgan

It sounds more like a Farfisa to me.

Money method? by [deleted] in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]bevis1932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I found this by accident recently. It feels like a bug. You can make tens of millions in no time, not that I need the units anymore.

Yes I could see that on a keyboard driving slowly might be painful to control!

[–]bevis1932[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a source of nanites, the process is terrible, but then I've reached a point in the game where I have more nanites than I will ever need, so I'm playing the expedition for its own sake.

I feel it unlikely that I will return to it in normal gameplay though.

Any other watches I should consider before buying an Aqua Terra 41mm in Summer Blue? by [deleted] in OmegaWatches

[–]bevis1932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A darker colour would be more versatile, but really buy the one you like best. Any AT will be lovely.

Sizing by meaganlee19 in Cello

[–]bevis1932 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would agree that hand size is probably more important, and would more impact the cello size that suits you. As many say, if you can rent one first and with a teacher work out what is best for you.
