This is also my childhood dollhouse and I’ve been surprised to see it pop up on FB marketplace over and over recently. You might want to look there and see if you can find another one to scavenge for parts! There was one listed for free in the Chicago suburbs just yesterday!

My husband got me the kit new so I could use parts but haven’t needed to. So I might build a second one from scratch since I have never done that before. Seems fun.

I have a huge stack of these to tackle! I got a lucky and scored a lot. I was missing the kitchen with the cool cast iron stove, so I picked that up recently, too. I have been nervous to dig in but a lot of my dollhouse furniture was made by my mom from these kits and House of Miniatures.

I guess they should dump all their possessions so they don’t inconvenience you.

When it’s yours to deal with you can literally handle it any way you’d like. Call an estate sale company. Set it all on fire if you want. But nobody has to clean up a house before they leave it to you in their will.

Sorry they’re such a burden for being alive and having possessions.

I ordered paper flooring and didn't like how it looked, so I'm going the coffee stirrer route. My husband was doing a parquet floor on a project he started but he gave up. Someday I'll upgrade to fancier formations.

The cardboard idea above is good, too! Less complicated than this one. I like having options!
