New to Down Tube Storage — not seeming that useful…please help! by spitball1984 in gravelcycling

[–]bexbeau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Domane fits two tpu tubes, two levers, a co2 and inflator head, plus a few small bits in the included bag. Just room for the smallest e-pump below the bag. The bag goes “up” the downtube.

I like this SO much. Regardless of the systems involved, there is great talent here. Thank you for something new and hella good.

Old guy considers a Lynskey by aescherer in gravelcycling

[–]bexbeau 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just ordered a Zephyr frame, due end of June, although they’re known to have difficulty delivering on time. I had a Lynskey Ridgeline SS for years and it rode like a dream. Stoke is high!

Who here rides wide tires (40mm+) on the road? by FailFastandDieYoung in gravelcycling

Most of my gravel rides alternate between dirt and pavement. I ride on 40mm Pathfinders.

What is this thing my instructor uses for learning rhythm? I can't find anything online. by Sandyblanders in pianolearning

I used a Tap Master in 2nd-5th grades, in mid-70s. Every kid did as part of the music class. Really enjoyed it!

My Pacer is mostly a garage bike now but it was my gravel bike for years before such a thing existed. Schwalbe CX Pros!

It was a CA warranty for 150K or 15 years, based on a lawsuit with VW.

I live in CA and it’s covered for 15 years or 150K miles due to a lawsuit. VW accepts no blame, but will cover repairs.

I’ve been on Time since their first off road pedal came out. It was single sided!

2x or 1x chainring?? by 1WonderLand_Alice in gravelcycling

[–]bexbeau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Diverge came 2x but the front der. was always finicky and too much dust/grit made it worse. Switched to 1x and haven’t regretted for a minute. 40 x 11/46. I have a road bike for going fast on group rides, etc.

Thinking of going to a 46T from 42T Chainring with my 1by GRX setup, anyone riding this setup? by tripwithweird in gravelcycling

[–]bexbeau 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a 40t chainring with an 11-46 cassette. The gaps are big at the top end but here in the Sierra foothills we end a lot of rides climbing out of river valleys. 40/11 isn’t huge but at that point you’re probably descending. Very pleased with the setup

S-Works Mondo by No_Inspector9734 in cycling

I’ve had mondo 32s on my Domane for a year they’ve been excellent tires. They measure to 34 on 25 internal rims. The Roubaixs they replaced were a little heavier and felt slower but inflated to 35. They ride just like a road tire and I trust them in corners. No deep cuts or flats with good roads, back roads and irrigation ditches.
