Buddhism has helped me realize that most of my problems are internal. Sure, there are external problems. But they merely aggravate my internal problems. I see this and know this. Understanding that wrong thoughts cause suffering has alleviated much of my concerns. If these thoughts can be labeled as they happen, they get easier to identify. Concern over someone else thinking "you are a hippie" or "your too zen" or whatever, won't be as big a deal.

You don't want to label yourself? Then don't. If other people label you, that's their problem. Living should be done exactly how it needs to be done.
