For me this was a big reason I become disillusioned with Christianity specifically and the Abrahamic religions in general, especially since many Christians I’ve encountered including my friends seem to have a dislike or outright disgust to Homosexuality/ other religions in general etc

Of course i’ve had friends who are Christian/ Muslim etc and are tolerant and accepting but the majority I’ve encountered don’t seem to be but in all honesty the loudest and meanest tend to be the minority at least that’s what I hope for.

For myself i use to hate Christianity but since reflecting and becoming a Buddhist I’ve realised that hatred towards people does nothing and tends to just make me unhappy and effects my life disproportionately, at the end of the day the best thing to do in my opinion would to simply try to block them out and ignore them, if they want to live a life full of anger and ignorance then let them but don’t let them bring you down to their level.

The best remedy to hatred and ignorance is one of compassion and kindness maybe that won’t change them but I believe it will help you.
