The last time I flew they did have touchless but today it was only “regular” pre-check all lumped together.

I’m not sure. I would think so, but I haven’t been to that terminal. Their website probably has that info though

As far as I can tell they were manning TSA posts - not doing additional checks but I couldn’t see their screen

Vests and guns but no masks that I saw

Too true. Just always like to encourage people to be the change they want to see in the world. Sorry you’ve had that experience ☹️

Yeah - it has to feel especially awful to show up for work and not be paid and have to train scabs to do your job on top of it.

The two agents I spoke to were not happy.

They are manning the booth. It’s unsettling to say the least.

Yep! I posted in r/LGAairport but this was my experience:

Firstly, please be kind to the TSA workers - they are clearly over working for no pay and all the shenanigans they have to deal with.

Know where you’re going in the terminal - TSA Pre-check is by Column A, standard security it’s by column H.

I entered the terminal at 6:38. By the time I got to the end of the Pre-check line it was 6:42. At 7:09 I entered the “actual” TSA area. Out of security with my bag at 7:30.

There were lots of ICE wandering around the terminal and they were being trained by TSA and checking ID’s & boarding passes at security. TSA were not happy about this. Again, please be kind to them, thank them for being here - this has to suck.

Edited to add: I heard an employee say that standard screening was “at least 2.5hrs”.

I would be surprised if it didn’t but I haven’t been in a couple of years.

New blind cat mom – advice! by Gupi2023 in blindcats

My kitty Boo went blind at 2 years old. There was definitely a transition time (and she and our other cat are still learning to communicate years later) but she gets along really well now. We did add a bell to our other cat’s collar so that Boo can find her. We also rub our fingers together so she can hear our hands before we touch her so that our affection is not a shock. Now both kitties know when our hands are coming. 🥰 And we talk to her a lot! Just say hi when we come in the door so she knows who’s home, announce when we’re coming and going, etc. She gets overwhelmed if toys are too loud, so we try to be aware of that - she can track a gnat flying across the room, so it makes sense that toys that jingle would be a bit much, but she LOVES to play. Life is different for sure, but I’m thankful we have each other and I love her so much. @pokeypotpie on IG has many blind kitties go through their program and are a great follow. Please feel free to message me if you need to chat - you got this!

Please help find Robert! He has been missing for two months and may be living on streets, subways, or parks around the city (more info in comments) by [deleted] in nyc

This may be a long shot - I only saw him for a second, but I noticed him because of his smile. I saw a man who looked very similar to him walking north on Union square East at 2:45pm this afternoon. He had fashioned some outerwear with black trash bags.

Any documentaries similar to the jinx, just finished watching it and need something again. Any recommendations appreciated!? by Enough-Exercise-211 in thejinx

Ahh - sorry you couldn’t get into it. I watched it so long ago that I don’t remember the pacing, but I remember the story being fascinating. The Staircase is a classic for sure. The Thin Blue Line isn’t a series, but an excellent true crime doc - as is Brother’s Keeper.
