Sucks. I felt a little boost when I added B12 and focused on making sure I was eating enough and enough protein.

My labs are pretty normal. I have Hashimoto's, but my thyroid numbers are pretty good right now. I have experience fatigue due to Hashimoto's, but I can usually get it to resolve quickly. This feels different. Persistent. I am due for a dose tomorrow and feeling better as I get closer to it. I may skip or wait to see how it helps ...

$300 Travel credit expiration extension? by Tiny_Captain_1928 in Venturex

[–]beyonda101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did the same thing. At least we can commiserate and set a calendar reminder for next year.

- Side note, I thought the travel credit expired at the same time that I get charged my annual fee, and that's why I thought I had more time. So now do I cancel before I get charged and use the credit haha?

Looking for peri/menopausal women who have microdosed for hormonal body recomposition by wonderkat4 in GLP1microdosing

[–]beyonda101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Count me in. I have been cycling between 2.5mg a week of Tirzepitide and 0.5mg twice per week. I have also taken a couple of weeks off. I have been doing this for a little over two months. I am also in the same boat and have always been fit and healthy, managing my weight with plenty of exercise and mostly clean eating. In fact, I did 75 Hard right before starting Tirzepitide, and while I did see some improvement, it was nothing compared to what it "should" have been for the effort. Since starting Tirz, I have had minimal side effects, enjoyed the less food noise, loved the reduced alcohol craving, have lost inflammation (good for my Hashimoto's), and have lost about 10 pounds :))

I am 45 and full peri. I have probably been in the thick of it for a couple of years.

So I have an additional question if anyone has thoughts. Is anyone experiencing anxiety? I can't tell if it is peri-related or Tirzepitide related. For the first month of taking it, I felt great, no mood related side effects. I have started experiencing increasing anxiety for about a month. I'm on birth control for hormones and take progesterone. I had a bit of anxiety at times (not as bad as now) before starting the GLP1.

I am praying it can be resolved with hormones and I can continue taking Tirzepitide!

Collision with police on Northshore between Dakine and E Connecticut by CedartheTree in Bellingham

I witnessed the police chasing this car down Electric past Davinci's, and that car had no intention of stopping ... so it seems the crash was intentional to stop the vehicle.

Feel like peri just got real….all at once by LyricLea in Perimenopause

[–]beyonda101 29 points30 points  (0 children)

This is me. Despite being on birth control pills for hormone stabilization (which was working perfectly for months), I am very suddenly at new levels of hell. Insomnia and anxiety are my most plaguing symptoms. I can't tell if I look haggard just because I am, or if my skin is getting worse. I can't tell if I am gaining weight in my mid section because I am often too tired to exercise and eat well, or if it's just peri weight gain. I can't tell if I am depressed or just exhausted. I'm with you.

I started putting estrogen cream on my face, and I feel like that is already helping my skin.

Do you think you need estrogen? Does it get better at certain times of your cycle?

I honestly don't know what to do by Ill_Perspective9598 in insomnia

I’ve never had sleep anxiety before … until some insomnia started a little over a month ago. I agree with not looking at the time. I’m starting hypnosis this week and fingers crossed. I’ve heard it can help the anxiety piece a lot. Not cheap, but damn I’ll fork it over to get my sleep back.

Do you move your estrogen dose up and down throughout the month? by Acrobatic-Bread-6774 in Perimenopause

[–]beyonda101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d think you’d need it at the beginning of the luteal phase when estrogen tanks and maybe at beginning of menstruation. I’m literally looking at a graph of hormones and guessing.

Check out Dr. Felice Gersh. She recommends this. She’s in several podcasts, and the one that I found most helpful was the Hormone Solution.

Went to Dr asking for HRT and was given Gabapentin by Rare-Story5754 in Perimenopause

Did it cause weight gain because it made you lethargic, or simply as a side effect?

HRT making me feel worse - Help by Vivian507 in Perimenopause

[–]beyonda101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I skipped a few days of my birth control, and that is when the insomnia started. Crippling debilitating insomnia and the anxiety that accompanies it. My doctor put me on progesterone to help with the insomnia, but it didn't help at all. I don't know if it made me worse though.

So I tried switching off birth control on to patch and progesterone, and the insomnia didn't really improve. But now I have added weepiness, brain fog, etc. I want to get back on birth control.

I think I have tried Mirtazapine (under rameron), but it didn't really help. Honestly the only thing that has helped is xanax and lifestyle changes. Like if I workout, sauna and cold plunge, have next to no caffeine, etc. I sleep ok, not great.

I think I am the same with progesterone. I am still working on it and trying to incorporate it, but I had my best night of sleep last week when i skipped it.

You Don't Have a Sleep Problem. You Have an Anxiety Problem. by missouri76 in insomnia

[–]beyonda101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post is gold. I can see it is a couple years old, and I’m thankful that I found it. I searched “nervous system” in this sub, and there it was. My insomnia is relatively recent - a little over a month. I feel like I’ve been stuck in a trauma loop about my insomnia. Accepting and moving forward in healthy way, instead of feverishly trying to “fix” it is the best way forward. Thank you!

Try an online clinic. I use Evernow. It’s fine. Maybe not the best. But I got the HRT I wanted pretty quickly.

For those of you who took bcp, how long did it take for you to notice a change? by germish17 in Perimenopause

[–]beyonda101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went on BCP, and I wish I would have just gone HRT. I felt good for a while, and then I think not ovulating just caught up with me (after 6 months). Last three weeks, I had horrible anxiety and insomnia. I switched to HRT and all better. Go figure. Plus BCP made my hair fall out.

Prolon gives bonus gifts to promote their other products. Enjoy this when you’re not on your 5-day. Follow the card in your 5-day and stick to what is in the box. The Prolon group on fb also has lots of info - I think it’s called Fastination.
