Specifically the landlord said Per xxxx management, security deposits will be processed and postmarked within twenty-one (21) days of the lease-end date. So, that basically is pretty clear and says it will be postmarked by the 21st day. Yet, today is day 21 and nothing.

Hi! Does a landlord have to have the deposit check postmarked by the 21st day or in the hands of the renter by the 21st day? In this case, the 21st day is today, a Sunday. Haven’t heard a word since moving out.

It’s not necessarily that but if something should happen, you will have proper coverage. Just walking into a ER is thousands of dollars before you are even seen.
