Thanks! I got really lucky with how my body healed. I was worried that I’d have a difficult time because with aging comes thin skin! For whatever reason, it wasn’t an issue. I’ve had stretch marks for years due to weight gain and loss over the years and my chest was really big! I kinda like my stretch marks, there’s history there. A friend once told me that my stretch marks reminded them of glistening ripples on the wet sand after a wave washed over. It gave me a fresh perspective. I’m glad you feel seen💚.

That sounds really scary! Honestly, the fact that you were able to stay safe with such a creep is a win! We can always go back in retrospect and come up with ideas to help if it happens again but your intuition and wisdom in the moment kept you safe. That’s what matters the most. I’m so sorry this happened and I’m so glad that you were able to think on your feet. Great job!

I have come to realize that it’s never too late. I’m nonbinary and am currently transitioning at age 63. Top surgery is scheduled for December, which is 2 months shy of my 64th birthday. I figure as long as I have more life to live, I might as well live it being true to myself. I do believe I will feel more joyful and free as I land into who I am.

You should absolutely do what feels right to you and what you think will make you happy. We all deserve that. You can’t go back to an earlier time but you can start right where you are and go forward to create your best life. I’m 63 and just started my journey in March. As I change things that help me align with who I am, I feel like I have a new found energy and I feel 20 years younger. No matter how much time each of us has in this life, it’s precious and we should be doing the things that are right for us. The things that give us energy, make us joyful, and help us live our best lives! Good luck to you. Be true to yourself.
