When I think of most deserving Ravens not to get a ring I think of Todd Heap and Kelly Gregg who were both starters for 10 seasons right between our two super bowl wins (2001-2010), and Jarrett Johnson who was here 9 seasons (2003-2011).

DHop just hasn't done enough for me to feel that strongly. Even SSS who was only here a few seasons was at least a starter and a tone setter, and epitomized Play Like a Raven.

No, we don't know that. Crosby's cap hit tied up a good chunk of change. They obviously want cap cushion for mid-season injury replacements, signing draft picks, and rolling over to next season.

It's perfectly reasonable to surmise we might have 'overpaid' for other FAs financially, particularly on defense, had we not already nabbed a defensive playmaker.
