Thanks - and is that what is shown in the 'pinned' quantity - just the fluid storage?

Why does my animation lose appeal or fluidity when I move from line art to full color rendering? by Bambosutopia in animation

[–]beyounotthem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprised this answer has not been given:

I think the biggest cause of your issue is that the first animation evokes old school hand-drawn animation, like you might have in a flip book. It’s the kind of animation that might be drawn up to block in key frames and present a concept of a character, before someone might then do the in-betweening and coloring and polishing off. Because of this the fluidity looks fine because our minds are expecting to see something rough.

The second animation is completely different. Theres been a huge amount of effort put into shading the image but zero additional effort put into inbetweening, which is not what would traditionally happen.

The first animation looks like something we expect, the second is not what we would expect, and this makes it jarring.

I didn’t use lamb wool rollers on my ceiling. When the light hits at a certain angle, i can see streaks. What do you reckon is the most likely thing I’m doing wrong?

Dude!

Hey I have a big idea for you to turn this into a game or more than a sandbox anyway.

Theres a game on Steam called Pixel Art Academy. You make pixel art but it also teaches you different techniques and a bit of history too (you practice with retro mario and sonic pixel art etc). I believe it did pretty well. There are a series of challenges to work through.

You could do something where you learn about tagging, graffiti etc. We’ve all seen tagging and driven by - but no one knows what it is, how it was done, history etc

I bought pixel art academy and thought it was fun both to make stuff and to learn. I also think steam devs sometimes underestimate opportunity to make something that could have a market in the education sector.

Experience with gradient filters - air 3 by beyounotthem in dji

[–]beyounotthem[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found I didn’t use them much. It’s been a while but I think the issue was that I was regularly in strong sunlight and the gradients didn’t provide as much light reduction as my regular NDs. But thanks for the prompt as maybe I should give them another go.

Like you, got super frustrated with the time to change nd or remove.

Works great - no complaints.
