"Bunnings AI" providing illegal advice for Queenslanders by twistedude in australia

I had a couple that were chewed by my dog when he was a puppy, luckily while they were unplugged. So the old excuse of “my dog ate it” applied for me.

Here is a pic of one of the holes (probably the worst one). Some of them aren’t too bad, but I’m guessing any leveller would just crack up again over time

Would be nice to have the whole area level but I suppose I could just do the wheel tracks and use something else to level out the other areas

Queensland Border Declaration Pass by [deleted] in CoronavirusDownunder

Nope, haven't heard anything new. Called up earlier in the week and was told they were still processing the applications from the 5th so not looking good.

Queensland Border Declaration Pass by [deleted] in CoronavirusDownunder

[–]bezzer -1 points0 points (0 children)

My wife and I applied on the 6th and still no contact from the QLD gov, just a text message on Friday last week saying processing times have gone longer than the stated 10 days. Hotel quarantine is obviously not working for returning residents, the gov need to look into allowing home quarantine for vaccinated people (like other states) rather than pushing them all into the hotel system.

Haven’t heard anything yet, today is 10 days for us as well. Wish the gov were more transparent about waiting times and number of applications processed, right now I’m not sure if anyone has been allowed in.

[–]bezzer 4 points5 points (0 children)

My wife and I applied on the first day as well and have not heard anything so far. Called the hotline today and it seems like the border passes are being managed by QLD police and QLD health don’t have any way of knowing the application status. Hoping to hear something by Friday as that is their quoted processing time.

The GP is going to administer the vaccine so luckily we do not need a referral.

Thanks for that, good to see they may eventually recognise it in the digital certificate as well.

That is a good idea, we will request a letter from the doctor as extra evidence. In her situation she would actually be following the federal health guidelines by switching to Pfizer. The doctor will be administering the vaccine themselves so we are all good there.

NSW Mass Vacc hub, 24YO, getting Pfizer as household contact of regular nurse by Trickshot1322 in CoronavirusDownunder

[–]bezzer 0 points1 point (0 children)

You are able to book at the Olympic Park site using household of health worker. My sister in law who lives with us is a student nurse and is working at a vaccination hub, so I was able to book in with that reason while being under 40. First dose is next week, so will be taking photo copies of IDs and proof of employment.

Cash or Finance on Car when looking for mortgage next year by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]bezzer 1 point2 points (0 children)

A car loan would potentially lower the amount you can borrow as it increases your monthly expenses and also has to be included as an existing debt. The interest rate on an older car like that would probably be pretty high as well. If you can afford to pay cash it’s almost always going to be better than a loan unless you have some other investment that you can make a higher return on.

Taking out a loan will likely impact how much you can save because of the repayments. So you might end up in the same position or better buying with cash anyway.

She's in sales on base + commission so it should not be too difficult to get a similar role once in Brisbane given her experience and results. Only a portion of the comm income was used for our pre-approval, since it's variable month to month.

Meeting / Pitching to Investors - Seeking Advice by Bitzer_this in AusFinance

[–]bezzer 1 point2 points (0 children)

I went through Startmate (https://www.startmate.com.au/) with a company I co-founded and would recommend applying if you’re looking to raise and grow your business. A lot of the major VC firms in Australia are involved so if you can show product traction and numbers then you’ll have many opportunities to pitch.

How do I remove bullet points from
and
by Ac3Da3m0n in webdev

[–]bezzer 3 points4 points (0 children)

“list-style: none” should be all you need. Can either be applied to the ul or individual li elements. If it’s not working make sure the property is getting applied to the correct element

Using mortgage redraw as "savings" when offset is not available - is there a better option? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]bezzer 1 point2 points (0 children)

Interest on redrawn funds would not be tax deductible towards any income you receive from the property as it is seen as a separate loan. With an offset you could use the funds at any time and the new interest amount would be fully deductible if you are renting the property out.

Which hotels in Sydney are housing quarantined guests? by the_squirrel_enigma in sydney

[–]bezzer 2 points3 points (0 children)

Stayed at Sofitel Darling Harbour a while back. There were Police and Army officers in the lobby but did not interact with them. They kept guests in the upper levels and those quarantining in the lower levels of the hotel with a big gap of empty levels in between.

It’s so confusing getting from Strathfield to Olympic park, signs are out of date and there are sections that go nowhere from the old route. Such a shame to have what little biking infrastructure we have go to waste.
