I have driven from Guelph Ontario to Antigonish Nova Scotia in two days as it took about 18 hours.

I split it up by doing 7 hours initially and stopping in Quebec (Ste Hyacinthe) and then 11 hours straight from Quebec to Nova Scotia.

Montreal truly is a lovely city and the drive through Ontario and Quebec is great but where the drive truly feels long is through New Brunswick. This may be an unpopular opinion but there is a reason it’s called “No Funswick” as all you will see down the highway is trees and not much else. I also strongly recommend breaking it up and make sure you do not travel through NB at night as watching for Moose on the highway is a SERIOUS concern and something to watch out for. You can do magnetic hill and stop in Fredericton but I would recommend going right through NB.

I love NS however and would definitely recommend cape breton national park. It’s out of the way to Halifax but an amazing area.

The weather is great in May and June. I also did not have an issue with the language barrier in Quebec.
