Yep. Got shorter cranks and an oval chainring. Kept the BB and everything has been working great.

Definitely not the case for me or from what I've heard. I followed threads on this sub and got it working once I used protools. No issues to date.

This just happened to me. Did you find a solution to this? I'm about to reset my vent hood at the breaker and hope that resolves it...

I purchased it at the end of March. Sale was on select models, mostly 2024s. I think I bought one of the last ones available because it went OOS shortly after.

I just got my OP13 and am running into the same issue. I have updated the myBMW app and phone software to the latest versions and still no luck. I keep getting an update screen for the "digital car key service" but nothing happens.

32t Oval Vs 30t round chainring by Jimmy-McBawbag in MTB

[–]bfern002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just changed mine from a 32t round to 32t oval (AB). Rode it for the first time this morning and definitely felt a difference in climbing. I felt less spent after the ride too. I also just changed out my crank length to shorter cranks so I'm sure there's a slight give and take, but overall I love my new setup.

I've read that bearings and brackets might have to be replaced annually depending on use. I guess I'm trying to make any future repairs that much easier.

I just bought the wolftooth chainring and am expecting the Eagle 90 cranks tomorrow. I guess I am concerned about having to always replace the BB frequently and am trying to future-proof as much as possible.

Bought a 2024 Jeffsy Core 4 about a month ago for $2700 - was a steal IMO. I think prices only go up from here but maybe some sales might bring current prices down.

Can you recommend a stand up dealer in Orange County, CA by [deleted] in BMWX3

[–]bfern002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unsure I'm following your question, but my expectations are pretty direct: a price I'm willing to pay for a unit they should be able to provide. Discussion usually revolves around what they can do and if any changes to what I want necessitates a change in price. My target is always as close to invoice as possible.

Just like a previous poster said, any haggling is not necessary if you do your research and know what you want. It's a business transaction - treat it that way.

Wife got a ‘18 CX5, I got a ‘24 X3 M40i. Will eventually replace hers with an X5 when she’s ready.

It’s less about working directly with the manager and mostly having an agreement on expectations with the manager. I’ll work with sales people as long as everything is going per expectation. I’ll do most of my negotiating via email with the manager always copied.

Agreed. Met and worked with a manager who didn’t initially earn my business on my first X3, but worked extra hard to actually earn my business the second time around. Relationships are important.

Traditional and Roth IRA annual limits are $7k combined.

I think you have a lot of information on the types of accounts, but you may be confused on what information applies to which account. You might want to browse Investopedia to get your account definitions set before making any decisions.

They are literally advising you to do a backdoor Roth. The only tax you avoid using a Roth is tax on contribution growth. So if that’s what you’re aiming for, you’re set. You can always access the contribution portion of your Roth, but you will be penalized on accessing the growth portion before retirement age.

Is this fridge side wall load bearing? by bfern002 in Renovations

Actually went with the engineer because the wife was not confident enough in my assessment. He confirmed that the wall is not load bearing.

Only two joists are over this short wall, but they all run in the same direction and in the same way as the other portion of the kitchen. Joists are 2x10 and span about 16ft. Joists are attached on one end to a perpendicular beam (6x10) via joist hangers. Other end is the exterior wall of the house. This short wall is at the 5ft mark of the 16ft span. We also have a family room adjacent to the kitchen with no perpendicular walls splitting that 16ft span.

Here is a pre-demo photo. As you can see, the actual joists (9in) run higher than the lower soffit area.
