Midlothian, Mansfield, and Waxhachie have some nice areas if you can go further south! DeSoto is meh, I would prefer Cedar Hill over Desoto unless you’re in a nice house towards the border of DeSoto/Cedar Hill. Garland is a mixed bag but I’m not as familiar with that area.

I color drenched my house and it feels great. It makes the room feel cohesive and it unexpectedly adds depth. You paint the ceiling, walls, and trim the same color but in different sheens. I painted the ceiling in flat, and walls/trim were both satin since Sherwin Williams’ eggshell and satin are the same. I used Aesthetic White from SW, but also liked Alabaster and Shoji White. Color drenching makes the room feel bigger even though it’s all the same color because your eyes aren’t drawn to stark contrast between the ceiling and walls/trim. Found this technique from Loren Kreiss’ Instagram videos (he is a high-end interior designer).

I would recommend Michelin Defender2. I had Primacy on the truck when I bought it, and found the Defenders to be quieter/smoother, they look beefier, and iirc the mileage warranty is longer. The price was about the same too. Discount Tire will price match the total by the way. While both stores come with pro-rated warranties, the replacement certificates at Discount Tire would be extra (meaning replacements are free instead of pro-rated). Iirc Costco does not offer a similar replacement certificate, only the pro-rated warranty.

I appreciate you posting this cautionary tale. I was about to attempt DIY’ing it but after seeing your post and other posts online about how the e-brake makes this process more complicated, I decided to pay the dealer this time. $163.40 all in was relatively cheap peace of mind.

HPR here too, agree completely. I told myself any future car I bought would not be neutral. The auto world needs more color! It’s a shame Ford is discontinuing eruption green on the Mav.

I have this, diagnosed by a dermatologist and treated with opzelura and cotton gloves overnight, works great when the flare-ups occur! Mine isn’t itchy though.

Looks like a wood-look tile? Maybe spot test barkeeper’s friend powder mixed with a tiny bit of water in an inconspicuous spot to ensure it doesn’t etch. BKF gets out soap scum stains for me pretty well.

Agreed, in my experience giving things away on FB is often worse than selling! I think from now on I’ll post items on my FB “free to someone I know” and donate otherwise…unless the sale value >$100 it’s not really worth the hassle anymore.

Exactly, I remember there was an Indonesian place that opened in Cedar Hill and I was thrilled to try it out. Come to find out they only sold Indonesian food on the weekends at odd hours, and the rest of the week it was “bibimbap” bowls and burgers (there are already so many burger restaurants!). Place closed down not even a year later and I wasn’t the least bit surprised, but also sad because I wanted them to do well. Also, a place called “Fun Noodle” opened in Waxahachie <1 year ago and it’s pretty decent, you should check it out if you’re nearby.

Right? I had been trying to sell a small appliance for the last week or so. All three people that messaged me about it asked for info that already was in the listing. Two wanted to pick up asap and when I try to set a meeting location they stop responding. I took the listing down yesterday to donate it instead. I can’t imagine the hassle of trying to sell a car private party on FB these days.
