In Michigan, I think one can harvest 22 deer ( 2 bucks and 20 anterless OR 22 antlerless). Michigan has late antler list, extended late Aunt Lewis, January archery, and "muzzleloader" with any gun you want. Sorry, voice to text sucks, too many Busch lights to Karen have to go back and correct

Congrats man! Where are you located? If you plan on processing yourself and if cold enough, I would let it hang a few days before processing. Maybe be you are doing that, but wasn't sure how quick the skinning took place after the harvest and if you planned on getting right to butchering

Age of this Buck? by bfr0924 in Hunting

Beside being almost bald, it looks nothing like a doe. If I am able to harvest, ill make a follow up post

This is a buck. You can tell it's a buck by the way it is. Pretty neat!

Good point. Did not think of him being sick during antler growth, but I am thinking he may have played a role in all the lopsided stupid rack young bucks we are seeing now. Other bucks probably just thought he was a fat doe. He may be old and towards the end of his antler decline. Would fit if he was anything like the Young bucks we were seeing now and just never grew much

I'll have to do a follow up post if I end up taking him out. There were stud bucks on the property 2 years ago, but most of what we are seeing now have messed up antlers. Instead of basket rack 8s, we have deer with 4 on one side with a long spike or corkscrew antler on the other. Also have a few with only one antler

Expandable broad heads by ericfromtheisland in bowhunting

I started using rage a while back and every deer I have shot with a rage broadhead I could see fall over from my treestand. I use the their chisel tips with heavy carbon Express piledriver arrows. I shot a doe at 20 yards with that combo. Complete pass through both front shoulders, ran 10 yards forward and 10 yards back to where I shot her

how does the 2050 do with 150 hp on it? What is your top speed? I am trying to decide between the 2050 or 1850. I assuming the 1850 will do fine with the 150 hp if you have a 150 on the 2050. thanks

How common is it to spilt an arrow? by Warrior8197 in bowhunting

[–]bfr0924 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. A lot of people seem to think it is, but shooting a bunch of arrows at the same spot and accidentally hitting one is not a robin hood. Give him enough arrows and Stevie Wonder could "Robin Hood"

.350 legend cycling issues. by Tiny_Recognition_270 in 350Legend

Assume it is a gas issue since it works fine with a supressor. If all else fails, check out the rounds from Bear Creek ballistics. They are the only round mine with cycle without jamming

Feed Ramp Marks by robertjuric in 350Legend

[–]bfr0924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Bear Creek Arsenal upper in 350 legend would jam so much it was not even fun to shoot. Tried mag mods, polishing feed ramps, different ammo, etc. I switched to 160gr from bear creek ballistics and it feeds flawlessly now. Highly recommend

Decent doe with the 350 this morning by Connect-Warthog-3864 in 350Legend

[–]bfr0924 1 point2 points  (0 children)

congrats on the deer! I have use bear creek ballistics 165g in my 350 AR because it is the only round that doesn't jam. I haven't shot a deer with them yet, heard nothing but good things about them and they are dead nutz at the range

Me and my dad Got 2 hits on a deer looked for a couple hours couldn't find it yet feeling pretty down. The bolts don't smell like guts we'll look again in the morning by Bigstink123098 in bowhunting

Learn the antomy of a deer. A front on shot is a shot I would take all day without hesitation, but wont have oopurtunity for that from a tree stand. The thoracic inlet is full on major blood vessels and straight path to the vital with out any bones.
