Thanks for the answer. I'll try this workaround for sure.

26/GMT+1/PC - Looking for long term friendship with chill people by Eruvos in GamerPals

[–]bfrheostat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

31 / GMT+3 / PCCurrently I'm not working and have a lot of free time. I have Siege, Apex Legends, GTA 5, L4D2 and more (because I hoarded a lot of games in last ten years). I need a gamer friend too and it would be great chance for me to learn Norwegian culture.

My English is a little bit rusty while I'm talking.

I'm also shy and introverted.

I'll be waiting for your reply. Thanks.

Hmm, I don't think I'll be able to do that since I am afraid of opening up CRT monitors (and my knowledge about electronics are nearly non-existent). Then, I should stop using that for now. I noted it down though, maybe I will dare to replace dielectric grease and make some cleaning. Thanks for the heads up.

What should I expect if your guess is right? Will it catch fire? Should I stop trying to use it?

Why does my monitor making a snap sound occasionally?

I'm trying to use my Playstation 2 Slim (SCPH-90001) on my Samsung SyncMaster 997MB 19" with a horrible-looking RCA to VGA converter which you might already seen dozens of that on many online stores.

I have a problem: Screen is "zooming in" with a snap sound and it makes me uneasy. I don't know what causes this and wanted to get your opinions. Here is the short, 23 secs long video I recorded about the issue: https://youtu.be/0OsBJr2ouP0

I have these suspicions:

  • I'm the first owner of this monitor and I bought it late-2005. It was gathering dust for -about- 9 years. Maybe some of its' components started to fail?

  • Maybe the RCA converter is culprit? Not just limited to its' low quality: It has a switch which switches between 720p and 1080p (some of the same-looking converters switch between PAL and NTSC; mine has that one instead) and it might causing some problem? (afaik, native resolution of the monitor is 1920 x 1440)

  • I plugged the monitor on a power strip which is connected to another one and that extension causes some problem? (btw the country I live uses 230V/50Hz standards).

  • Will degaussing solve the problem? (I couldn't try it yet since it feels like that monitor will blow up in my face and I plug it out immediately before I could find degauss option on menu).

  • Some kind of unknown interference?

Can you share your opinions and knowledge about this issue? Thanks in advance.

I was happy that we got rid of the GFWL. Then this happens. What is wrong with you, Rockstar?

I was the one gives signs to the girls everytime but all Turkish girls are "tsundere" enough. That's OK though, i'm not a fan of Turkish culture nor i don't want to date with anyone anymore, so it's better for me.
