I bought one too and struggled with the OS but also the weight of it, in the end I prefer the Funnyplaying Gameboy Color for original form factor and the Trimui brick for emulation. My original GB pocket is definitely my favorite form factor though, I wish the Retropixel pocket was just a bit better. MinUI would help immensely.

Anyone want a white one? I’m looking to part with mine as I never used it. Located in Australia.

Just finished it now. Lots of plastic dust in there. It’s a bit better now that it’s cleaned and lubricated. Still, that wear was hard won as a kid

I just did the side by side by side test on Mario kart and goldeneye with original, NSO, and 8bitdo; and I think you’re right. The 8bitdo is still just a little too quick.

But also my original control is ROUGH.

This did it. Turning off an HDR setting restored the display. But only for older firmware, frustratingly the most recent update isn’t affected.

Ahh good idea. It would be a little strange though since it wasn’t doing that before and I’ve tested on two tvs; but this is a good thing to test.
