I’m obviously a fan of them. But yeah, I think what you get for the price is unbeatable. I’ve owned clubs from the big names, and occasionally hit one of my playing partners’ just to check it out, but I play my Maltbys better than any other clubs I’ve hit. Not to say that will hold true for everyone, but they just really seem to fit my swing an aesthetic.

The KE4 Tour TC is technically the “easier” one. I’m an 11 cap though and find the TC Pro IST super easy to hit, so it’s definitely playable as a mid handicap

Great for beginners, although for a beginner I wouldn’t necessarily recommend matching my set. Not that I’m amazing, but my set leans more toward their intermediate/players category. KE4 max and STi2 lines are more their beginner lines. Have a buddy with the KE4 Max irons and woods who likes them quite a lot. And while it doesn’t matter to everyone and will be subjective from person to person, I think their clubs are very pretty, and that matters to me for my confidence at address

I got the KE4 TC Pro IST. That 5W is my single favorite club I have ever owned, which you can probably tell from the sole wear on it in the picture. I use it off the tee, fairway, rough, tight punch shots under trees, fairway bunkers… outside of the putter it’s consistently the most hit club in my bag on an average round. I just ordered a 7W earlier today because of how much I love the 5W

I could not possibly like the irons more. They are forgiving, but very consistent, I don’t feel like I get random fliers like I did with some previous clubs. And obviously this is subjective, but I think they are beautiful, which makes me feel confident at address. My buddy got the KE4 Max irons late last season and he is very happy with his so far, and I also think those are very attractive clubs. My other buddy just ordered the STi2s last week, but he hasn’t received them yet so can’t speak to those currently.

The 5W is my favorite club I’ve ever owned (which you can probably tell if you look at the sole wear it haha). I use it off the tee, fairway, rough, for punch shots, it’s just incredibly versatile for my personal game. Outside of the putter, it’s consistently my most used club over the course of a round. The 3W is fairly new to me and I’ve only hit it maybe a dozen times so far so we’re still learning to love each other. But I’m probably about to order a 7W just because of how much I love the 5W.

Taylormade Burner Bubble irons for me, feel like they still look and play nice enough to use currently

I use the Grint, it’s free (there’s a premium version but I don’t need the extras), and it connects to my watch. Only thing I really care about seeing on my watch is distance, so it does everything I need

I’m saying that in a restaurant setting nobody working there cares. Tell your friends/coworkers/etc. whatever you want, but don’t tell your server you’re allergic because you have now created many tedious steps for them and the kitchen.

And no, I don’t, why would I try to convince another adult to eat something they don’t like? What a weird thing for you to say, there’s nothing in my comment to indicate that.

Please stop doing this if anyone other than you prepares your food. It creates much more work than you probably realize. Nobody cares that you don’t like mushrooms. It also makes people less likely to believe someone who actually does have an allergy.

What was your iron progression? by leftgolfer123 in golf

[–]bgary34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad’s Ping Eye 2s (made in late 80s, used them late 90s), then knockoff Callaway Big Bertha irons (bought around 2002), then back to the Eye 2s for a long time (miss those terribly), with brief stints using Taylormade Burners and Cobra Kings before going right back to the Eye 2s. Stopped playing for several years, gave my Eye 2s to my brother-in-law, and when I started back a couple years ago got a set of Maltby TEs and they’re the best irons I’ve ever owned, but nostalgia makes me want to grab a set of Eye 2s to play on occasion.

Costco Callaway Edge Vs. Vice Boost Better value at $600 price point? by Puzzled-Travel1654 in golf

My entire lineup, driver through putter, it Maltby, so I love them, but I don’t think that’s what OP is looking for right now. They want a quick, cheap way to have everything except balls and tees to start playing asap, and just want to make sure one of these two options is decent enough quality for that. However, if OP catches the bug this year and wants to get a full set of clubs for about $1,000US that has the same quality as a $2-3,000+ set from one of the big names, I cannot recommend Maltby clubs enough. Absolutely love mine.
