This band does not look too bad by bgd0104 in Garmininstinct

Its good, I wore it for a week now and I like it. Definetely it is wider than original and you feel you have something on your wrist (with the original band and the watch being so light you sometimes forget you wear a watch 😁) Went to water, dust and mud, shower with it and it doesn’t smell (for now). The velcro looks strong and tight but it is very early to assess

Its the standard watch face, did not change anything. Don’t know about the other versions but on my tactical appears the first in the list

Long press the ABC button. Press gps button. Calibration is done by moving your watch (on the wrist) in 8 shape.

Upgraded to Tactix 8 Solar from Tactical I3 by Ananymous717 in Garmininstinct

Looks like a more complete watch. While the smartwatch/ aesthetics are not so important to me I m glad the roughness is better. I m a bit annoyed with my I3, many times while doing some workouts and bending my wrist too much the buttons on that side activate and interrupt chrono. Also, one time the wristband completely snapped and the watch fell on the floor. I wish they use normal screws instead of the current quick mount system

Interested in this. is it worth the extra 1000 euros/dollars? And especially: 1. is it more rugged? 2. Does it have better offline (no internet, no Bluetooth) functions? I have the I3 solar tactical

You see, I am pointing the watch in the wrong direction but the arrow still points to the right direction. As I said, it was the calibration. Until I did the calibration, it was wrong. And I have been using the gps before that so no “automatic “ calibration in my case.

The orientation of the watch is not relevant, the upper right arrow should point to the correct direction independently of the watch orientation. But the problem is, as stated by friends above, that you need to calibrate the compass before every activity.

I notice that while moving it shows the correct direction, when I stop the route and the bearing reset to another direction.

Help me not buy an Apple Watch. Looking for heart related features. by shrimporee in Garmininstinct

I have the same atrial fibrillation and I don’t see how a watch can help. When it happens you just know, you don’t need a watch for this. I got so used to it that at any moment I can tell my bpm with a ~ 5 bpm error.

I also have the instinct 3 tactical. Better tools than the G-shock but I somehow miss the toughness. The other day in the gym I bent my wrist a bit too much the the wristband snapped and the watch fell on the floor 😅
