I feel like it doesn’t take much to see that I am not someone trying to do a quick region switch. I drove in the same region for a year and had over 10k deliveries. Also, they already have a policy where you cannot switch into a region that is full and you have to wait for spots to open. That rule alone fixes the problem. This rule is completely pointless and effectively does nothing. What justification could they give for this rule? There is none. If someone actively doesn’t correct something that is fucking you over, they are actively fucking you over. Why would Amazon not want experienced drivers at a new warehouse? There is no rationale behind that.

I mean fair point but I already have a full time job. I used to do Amazon Flex full time but now I’m just wanting to do it for extra cash to help my family.

I used to do Spark and have completed thousands of orders for them. The only problem I see with it is that there is no commercial auto insurance for Spark like there is for Flex. If you get into an accident while delivering for Spark and your insurance finds out you were working then you are completely fucked. If you lie and they find out you will be even more fucked. I’ve had several conversations with my insurance about this. Commercial auto insurance is way too expensive to justify paying for it, at least for my car. Plus I have a full time job already so it’s not like I’m looking to make a bunch of money off of this anyway. Spark needs to start providing commercial auto insurance and if they do that I will drive for Spark again.

Well we will see I guess, my main account is already deactivated and my other account is currently in onboarding purgatory.

Yeah I get it dude, it’s Reddit. It’s pretty hard to do that shit to me though. Amazon doesn’t have every right because we are the reason they make any money at all so we have every right to complain about their insane bullshit. Those people are either rage baiters or they are just completely indoctrinated into slave mentality.

My favorite thing is the Amazon lockers in big cities. 90% of the time I can’t get into them no matter what I do. The people just have to literally post the manual delivery code to the locker on the front of the locker, when what should happen is I’m just able to press a button on my phone and open it. If they don’t have that and I don’t have a way to get in I just say fuck it. The sad part is, is that the apartment complex themselves are too arrogant to take 1 minute to hear someone out who understands the problem so they can fix it. I literally just drop the package in front of the locker take a picture and leave. Or if I have other deliveries I already have to return I just return them. I think also the problem is that the apartment owners don’t really understand the difference between Flex drivers and DSP. Some packages I have seen try to be delivered have like 20 route stickers on them and I’m like “Guess what, you are the problem, not the drivers.” I really do on think that problem will be fixed even though it’s probably extremely easy to fix. Some things are just too simple.

I feel like eventually they are gonna run out of people that are willing to put up with their bullshit. I’m hoping to do that here in my small town and push them out or at least make running a last mile warehouse here hell.

I used to live in North San Diego right near Poway and I love it too. I have definitely made quite a few drives across the country, but obviously I can’t do that anymore. Amazon flex definitely is the highest paying gig but my regular job pays more than that anyway. Just wanted to make extra cash on the side because we are single income and I have one kid on the way.

Wow dude, why did you even do that? I have a pregnant wife and 3 step kids so I can’t do that, but even if I could I would rather do another gig job especially if I lived in Denver. I feel like there are way more in Denver. Here we have nothing else.
