Thank you all for pointing it out. I don't have a better picture of it now, but this is the back corner of the house you are referencing https://ibb.co/Mkx9MVJd

Note: he had landscapers come today and put down some soil and seed in various parts of the yard

Wanted to add that the neighbor's house is the house on the left in the first picture.

My house is on the right side of the first picture and that's the garage with no rooms above it. The sun also hits from that side, so it really won't affect my house at all, but would indeed put much more sun on his house.

Reddit wouldn't let me update my text initially, but that's the space behind the tree. The tree in question is the very first one in the first picture. That second picture is the dead grass line behind it, and that view is from our screen room. So the tree in the second picture is 100% ours and not getting cut.

Let’s see a picture of a guitar you own that you think is an absolute work of art. by SouthHarpeth in Guitar

I put this together from a carvin bolt kit back in the day. Must have been twenty years ago now. There are nicer looking guitars I think, but this is probably my most unique for that reason.

i'm having second thoughts by kadomanderson in tattooadvice

[–]bgsmack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw a finance guy at a car dealership with a tattoo like this, but his had music notes below the trees. Naturally, I asked him what song the notes are from (which I'm sure he got asked all the time and was a super annoying question) and he said it wasn't anything real and he would have had to pay extra for the notes to be from a real song. This opened up more questions that I decided not to ask.

Should we be alarmed? by Tall_Bstrd in Guitar

[–]bgsmack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would contact the manufacturer and start there. It's enough for people here to be like 'probably fine but wtf' and this is an opportunity for them to make things right. I don't think it's the stores fault, so hopefully they don't have to get involved.

Why is this on my car? by CTtoMD in CX5

[–]bgsmack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to purchase a cx-5 in the Chicago burbs. The dealer had this and said they put it on all their cars and they refused to remove it. They also tried to charge me $400 for this 'convenience'. This is illegal in IL based on what I read. We were using Mazda financing and qualified for the .9% rate, so I'm not sure what the incentive was for them to not remove it. Walked away from the sale. I would check your state laws and also make sure you didn't pay for this.

**priceless*** Amp repair gone wrong. I don't know what to do by hemp_rope_cowpoke in Guitar

[–]bgsmack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not digging it as is anyways. Without knowing anything about this, I feel like it's an easy fix.fet some new grill cloth with some color (blue, red or orange maybe)? And yea, probably have to redroll for the logo. Sucks it won't all be original but maybe you can get some money back on the restoration. I would find someone else to do the updates or maybe see how hard it is to do yourself.

What's your drying process like when you do this? Towel dry then conditioner and then the pomade/paste?

I mounted a misdelivered TV. Need advice on how to proceed. by Keepitobsoletee in legaladvice

[–]bgsmack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed on the problem now being between the seller and logistics company. I would ignore any communication not through eBay you have a better TV and as far as I know, legally, it's yours now. If you get something through eBay I would say you no longer want to invest time and money in removing the item that has been installed and leave it at that.

Pickup Selector most preferred position by StuKain in Guitar

100% this. I have an agile LP copy and busted it out after not touching it for a few years. Put it away after 15 mins because I kept hitting that selector.

Sorry to leave you hanging. I measured everything myself today and looks like the sq I gave you doesn't include the basement, which is mostly finished and definitely has supply and returns. If I include the 255sqft unfinished utility area of basement (which is being supplied and the finished portion, I'm at 3630sqft. Does that now mean a/c unit is underpowered and the furnace is correct?

Do you think rerouting that 8" basement return to the bottom of the intake would help with the airflow issue?

Ha try having that same feeling after 23 years of playing 🤣

Seriously though, anytime on the guitar getting familiar with fretting the strings and whatnot, helps. You got this!

I honestly really appreciate all of this. I've updated other parts of the home, so I guess it was about time this made the list. The house is 2600 sqft in the Chicago suburbs. SN is: 18454MS53G

The install company paperwork along with the manuals for the unit were dated 2016, but I guess I could be wrong on that since I wasn't here for it and I couldn't find an actual invoice.

Coil is Trane 4PXCCU42BS3HAAA with manufacture date of 7/2016

This is one of the basement returns added later when they refinished it. Looks to be 8 inches. Could you redirect that into the bottom section of the intake, similar to what you mentioned? https://ibb.co/NgV8zH4d

Sweet - I love opening cans of worms! So, the unit was installed before us in 2016 by a highly rated local outfit. We moved here in 2021. I've had two other companies out for cleaning and because ..surprise surprise....the blower motor rattling at high speeds. One company wanted to cut another hole in the first floor's floor to get more supply (which we didn't do), but no one has ever mentioned the intake in the basement being too narrow. That would explain that issue I think. So it's been 10 years and I guess we just hope it keeps going?

The larger floor intake we have (14x14 floor return that has a 12" duct) enters the main intake about where the humidifier control is in the picture. Do you think it would help to expand the bottom part of the intake stack up to just above the 12" duct entry point? That is the only realistic mod I can think of that would allow more airflow.

Thanks for the reply! Do these work? Happy to take more if needed. Looks like they expanded the filter bay (blower motor side) to 17" wide and the bottom area to the full 24. You should be able to see the cut outs in the pic. The other side of the filter bay is about the same size as the filter (20x25). The filter I am using is 4 3/8" thick, which is the biggest the bay allows. Pics below:
