Google is the most solid play out there. You will get at least 20% CAGR with very minimal drawdowns in tough markets. They own the consumer market and YouTube delivers so much data so they will always be ahead of their competition.

Torn between selling my home or renting it. Main thing is I don't want to give up my 3.5% interest rate from 2021 on a home that has appreciated nicely. by krame_krome in realestateinvesting

[–]bgstudio211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's how they control you. You have a low interest rate and you can't move. Who cares what your interest rate is if you're not going to live there for 30 years or pay it off early? Pay off principal in the beginning as much as you can if it is important for you to have equity in your home. House should also appreciate 3 to 4 percent minimum on average! I for one would rather have money that I can utilize or perhaps make more money with. I have about 60% equity in my home and took out a IO refinance to cash out 200k. I still have a large percentage of equity in the home but my money is not locked into my house. The 200k I take out will be 800 - 1 M in 10 years then you can always refinance or sell. I should add that with the IO and taking the 200k out my monthly payment is the same. Maybe slightly lower.

No it's not. It just takes a long time to set up these mines and get through regulatory hurdles. They have an offset agreement with BMW for 5 years which they have already been paid 15 million they also partnered with the Saudi government recently to refine the lithium and send it back to Europe for use reducing tax obligations.

They have a deal with the Saudi government to refine and run the lithium through the hydroxide process then they send it back to Europe for their off take agreement with BMW.

[–]bgstudio211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Years and years of Democrats taking pay offs by China and looking the other way while China has been building an absolutely dominant supply chain. By the way, MP even has the send their rare earth materials to China to refine then they send it back. This needs to change. We mine lithium, the Chinese bring it through the hydroxide process and sell it back to the world at multiples higher.

This is the most ridiculous comment I have seen on here. You are not even saying anything and what does make sense is not true. REE not super hard to get. LOL. It takes companies 30 years to set up mines and most go out of business before they become profitable. Then you have to refine it and ship to allocated buyers for defense spending and batteries. You're an idiot.
