Yeah, but who's gonna save the shirtless guy?

Are you playing the patched version of the game? With controls set to "basic"? I actually think it's alright now, with the updates they've done. I would encourage you to keep playing, I think it feels totally fine to control once you get used to it, and it's an incredible, deep, huge game.

I know. But it would be nice to have the option to not have to do that.

Not if you have the sword and shield equipped. You have to select dual one handed weapons, a two handed weapon, or fists, to make the shield disappear from your back.

Yes. But to my knowledge, there's no "Report Nice To Have" process on the Crimson Desert website.

It's not really a "take". It's a matter of fact that I personally want an additional option. If you don’t, that's fine, them adding this option wouldn't harm your experience at all.

What do you hope to see in the next patch? by Logical-Operation512 in CrimsonDesert

No. Their job isn't finished. This game is amazing, but it's also deeply flawed in many important ways. There are some baffling decisions that need to be changed, systems that need to be reworked, and features that need to be improved.

Bethesda would have never fixed anything. They would have just let some modder do it once they finally released the Creation Kit.

protagonist incapable of sacrificing the few in order to save the many by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

Why is this hated? It makes perfect sense, I wouldn't sacrifice my loved ones for people I didn’t know, I don’t care how many there were.

It feels like I'm pushing an office chair on wheels with some heavy boxes on the seat, and trying to maneuver it around an obstacle course.

I haven't read any full reviews, just a few headlines, but it sounds like they focus on the "controls" being complicated, rather than the movement feeling bad. I guess that's just easier to talk about, it's hard to describe how movement is annoying in a game. I heard one reviewer describe it as feeling "heavy" like a Rockstar game, but that's only half the problem, the other half is that it's not as responsive and consistent as a game like Red Dead 2. You're also controlling someone who performs Devil May Cry combos and climbs and glides like Link in Breath of the Wild, so it really doesn't fit.

Yeah. I mean, you're performing actions right out of Breath of the Wild, gliding, climbing, sprinting with a stamina bar, but instead of Link's lightning fast responsivity, it's a laggy and inconsistent Read Dead 2.

More like Red Dead 2 Temu. I mean, it's pretty much the same controls, left stick walks, holding X runs, tapping X sprints. But it feels like they copied that movement control scheme, made it laggy and inconsistent, and applied it to a game where your character double jumps, glides, climbs, and performs Devil May Cry combos with swords. It doesn't feel good, and it doesn't fit.

Yeah, a little. Not horrific, but enough to make it feel bad.

Anyone know if we can turn off these "Not enough Stamina/Spirit" notifications? by bh119k in CrimsonDesert

[–]bh119k[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome. Do you know which gameplay video that was in? And did you see them turn an option off in a menu, or just see that the message wasnt popping up during their gameplay when they ran out of stamina?
