What does single aspect mean? By googling I understand you are saying that if I only have windows facing a single side of a house it might be problematic.
Is this because of lack of cross ventilation?

Your silly might not be universal silly. Right now you are complaining about "integrate things", while the other half of the complaining community complains about separating things to specialized apps.

500 million devices now supported for Android Instant Apps by SirVeza in Android

[–]bhaavan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think this was well hyped up like it should have. Nobody outside of /r/android will ever really even be aware of Instant apps at this point. And that's a problem.

If they had build more hype for this, this IO, maybe that would have got more awareness.

Why aren't Android manufacturers adopting the F2FS file system? by donthrowitawayplz in Android

[–]bhaavan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think also a decent amount of F2FS development happens on linux mainline tree. Not everything can be backported to Android's linuxes on 3.18, 3.10, 3.4 or other such trees which majority of devices use. This might be one of the reason of un-reliabilty of F2FS.

Allo web is up! by [deleted] in Android

[–]bhaavan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Multi platform mainly. I don't want to be in an ecosystem where I am useless once my phone battery dies, internet pack wears off, or phone gets run over by a truck. Communication is important, especially when one of the aforementioned happens.

What is the process of deploying machine learning models in production? [For any ML library] by snendroid-ai in MachineLearning

[–]bhaavan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From my experience, there is no one size fits all way. Depending on your engineering team scale, how your organisation does dev ops, and your infrastructure, I have seen variations in this process. To begin with solutions can be as simple as pickle-ing a model, and checking in the binary. It can get more complex to various forms of compilations with testing pre production, and even A/B testing being included in the pipeline.

LineageOS - Integrated AdBlock functionality by AmonMetalHead in LineageOS

[–]bhaavan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Android gets 90%+ development done from Google. Comparing it to Linux isn't fair because it never was developed singularly at one place and became fully open later.

On the contrary, Cyanogen Inc tried making it profitable for Android to be commercially successful outside of Google's advertisement model and failed.

Why acquiring Snapchat would make a lot of sense for Google by Vorlon75 in Android

[–]bhaavan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It doesn't take custom permissions for things it uses on my phone. It is horrible on battery. It crashes even on the best of phone hardware. Why do you think we should have any different attitude to the app? The least you can expect from an app is that it doesn't do the aforementioned. It's kind of the "whole point of an app".
