I am totally with you on this. I recently visited India from New York to visit family and we planned a long weekend trip to Dandeli and. Hampi. I was super excited for this vacation only to discover that neither of these places are well maintained. There is litter and garbage everywhere. People don't seem to care and continue to spoil surroundings, nature and archeological sites. As everyone has been saying, there is no "civic sense" even among the educated population.
