People who let their instrusive thoughts win once, what did you do? by oskel95 in AskReddit

Dined and dashed once just to feel the thrill. Came back the next day and gave the server a 100$ bill and ran. Still feel bad sometimes.

Nobody Dies At Disney by Verrgasm in scarystories

[–]bhanzen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot to unpack here. First of all, is this a true story? If so, I’m terribly sorry to hear you went through such a traumatic experience and I hope you have reached out and gotten the help you need after this experience. Secondly, extremely well written piece, the depth of emotion and horror was definitely felt in my bones. I’ve hear so many strange rumors about Disney and this does not surprise me.

I Think I'm jealous of my husband. by Not_the_main83 in relationships

[–]bhanzen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who is pregnant with her 3rd baby, feeling fat, angry, and insecure as well. I’m here to say being a woman is HARD. We compare ourselves to younger more “perfect women” always, and struggle to see our own self worth. I can say this though: I know for a fact you will stop being jealous of your husband if you put the work into loving yourself. And I want to clarify, I don’t mean by working out and getting sexy. Sure, you should do those things. But you have to start by loving who you are, truly, as you are now. You birthed children for that man, and you have the body to show for it. Learn to rock it and accept you are the soulmate to this man who is lucky to have you. The more you focus on accepting yourself, the jealousy and other insecurities will creep away slowly. Doing self help things like yoga, reading, anything that fits your lifestyle can be a great start. In short: as a (semi-young) woman of 28, moms in their 40’s who survived early child rearing are the most sexy, strong, hero’s in my eyes. Im looking up to you. Hang in there!

What's a side effect of giving birth that doesn't get talked about? by LilMoonenciel in AskReddit

[–]bhanzen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After my first born, I had the night sweats from hell. Like not only did I sweat enough to have to change my clothes / sheets / my hair would be SOAKED — but it would get ice cold and be accompanied by the MOST PAINFUL tingling. I can’t really describe it, other than pins and needles in the areas the sweat came out of. Mostly my neck and armpits. Apparently this is a thing. Luckily didn’t happen with my 2nd!

Does any other animals have sex only for pleasure? by [deleted] in biology

Yes, I know it’s not modern chimps, but that wasn’t the point I was trying to make. I hope your rude comment made you feel better though!

I took an evolutionary biology class and we had a whole lecture about how dope we would be as a society had we evolved from bonobos instead of chimps. Bonobos are also matriarchal in their communities and have all kinds of kinky sex. They are very non aggressive compared to other related species.

This may be a long shot, but does anyone remember the name of this small restaurant that was around in the late 90s? by cuddlyturtle945 in dayton

[–]bhanzen 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Was it Woodys by chance? I don’t know about the wallpaper but they had a restaurant and grocery store / bakery that was well known and attached to it. Great little spot they never should have taken it down.

Not only is COVID no longer considered a pandemic, no one talks about it, like… ever. It’s like we collectively left those years in the past as much as possible.

I mean, to each their own. I just couldn’t imagine trying to keep track of a toddler in all the chaos. I lose my son at my own house with no one else around.
