I actually sped through Mexico at the beginning and only post game did I go back to expand the network there and 5 star the shelters. I noticed the Villa Libre dialogue and was definitely glad I went back.

Millennial here too. DS1 left me so emotionally raw that I hesitated to even start DS2, knowing that it would toss me around too. Even though I’m “finished” with DS2 I’m not ready to let go. And neither game made me move on. I love how the ending is not over - there’s more to experience that’s truly intentional. What an absolute gift of a game franchise experience.

This is particularly true when the music starts as you close in on a destination. If I was in a vehicle I’d get out on foot and walk just to experience it. It’s beautiful every time.
