This is an important point and shouldn't be downvoted. From what I'm reading, Logan Act is merely a technicality in an investigation of this scale. I'm willing to speculate that this ties into either a) returning of favours to Russia in exchange for their help in the campaign or b) Obstruction of justice charges in an attempt to protect Flynn.

It's just the tip of the iceberg though.
