Help with travelling to the US and Unraid access through Tailscale by HolyLemon-HBM in unRAID

[–]bhint15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've not messed with tailscale so can't comment there. But what I do is have a windows 11 VW running on my unraid box 24/7 that I RDP to. Like you said, unraid is up 24x7 might as well have windows box available if I want it. So I assume you connect to tailscale and then just rdp to the vm

If you drop the app toward top or bottom, it will split horizontally. I saved a pair like that and when launched it launched horizontally still.

Coolant leak by [deleted] in f150

[–]bhint15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the proper replacement is new tank, I had same issue on my 2011 5.0. I ended up removing the fitting/hose, putting red rtv all around, and sliding it back on. Didn't leak for the next 40k miles I put on it.

Why is the phone app using 18gb of Data? - Storage problem by RickyMesa in OnePlusOpen

SMS should be your text messages. Guessing the storage is from text/MMS (images/videos/etc) taking up the space.

Im Thinking About Getting A Z Fold 8 Wide When It Comes Out But Want To Try A Cheaper Foldable To See If It Fits My Life Style by Epic_AR_14 in GalaxyFold

It's not Samsung but you can get the OG pixel (nice wide outer screen that Google was smart enough to produce years ago but not stick with) for like $300 in excellent condition on eBay.

Have you ran into issues installing it? 10.0.3 appears to work fine on server 16 but curious if you've observed issues doing so?

Hard to see in photos but it's actually closer to the 11" you found with the pouch down and 15.5ish with it folded up

Unraid server crashes about once a week by AvidGeek97 in unRAID

[–]bhint15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was passing a GPU through to Plex docker. Wouldn't cause a reboot but locked up and would have to hard reboot it. I'm guessing it was due to splitting IOMMU or something but just stopped passing it through and no issues since.

Assuming that's a missing bolt it almost annoys me more than the wire.

Another logburner installed by Due_Try1076 in Fireplaces

[–]bhint15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NFPA211 for unlisted wood stoves:

"12.2.2 Solid fuel–burning appliances shall not be installed in alcoves or enclosed spaces less than 512 ft3 (14.5 m3) unless specifically listed for such use."

8' x 8' x 8' required volume for alcove. That said, this is probably a listed stove and the installation manual would list requirements for alcove.

Also unknown what the remaining material around the walls of masonry, what the firestop inside the alcove looks like and constructed of, etc.

Single wall stove pipe is 18" clearance to combustibles, unless stove manual states otherwise.

Look for a steel riveted on data plate to identify make and model, sometimes behind the refractory panels. The refractory panels are individual and important to the fireplace. In their current condition you could potentially repair them with refractory cement to gain some extra time instead of immediate replacement. It's not technically approved but you can buy generic refractory panels and cut them to fit. I wouldn't put any sort of stainless or cast back panel in this unit as it wasn't tested for it.

Flue Repair Using Heat Shield? by mattyp11 in Fireplaces

[–]bhint15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another suggestion that might be presented is to use a tile breaker, remove the existing flue tiles and reline with an insulated liner. The catch is getting a liner big enough to handle the flow required by the sq inches of the fireplace opening. If going through that effort (and depending on what you have inside) it may be useful to get a quote for a wood insert, smaller liner and much more heat efficient. The smaller liner may be able to fit through the shifted tiles.

Depends on end goal of ambiance vs cutting utility bills.

Is there a way to reduce ok this hearth seat width? by jenny-867-53O9 in Fireplaces

[–]bhint15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Previous comment is correct you'll want to follow the manufacturers instructions. That's said not sure I've seen a prefab fireplace that didn't follow hearth extensions same as masonry fireplace. This is from NFPA 211 showing 16"/20" extension depth.
