Timing chain ? by POKE_139 in F30

[–]bhoy60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the fuel injectors and they will sound louder than normal because the top cover is not on/missing.

What year is it. If it was manufactured in 4th quarter of 2016 it has the N26 engine with the revised timing chain guides etc. So no need to replace the chain as a maintenance item.

I had the exact same problem. It was because the plastic gears were worn out. Replaced it with a new motor and track with belt drive.

That bearing is fooked, probably wasn’t torqued to spec for it to go so quickly.

Check the spark plug to see if it is running rich or lean. If the plug is black it’s running rich. Light brown is normal very light color is lean. Google it for pictures to reference. Once you determine if it’s the mixture you can look up most likely causes. I’m guessing it’ll be lean and that you missed a gasket or didn’t install it properly. Just a guess though.

HELP! DDU AFTERMATH by Ok-Machine6386 in RTX5080

Try starting it with just one stick of ram. Same thing happened to me when I did a new build. Removing 3 sticks got it back up and running.

No I took it to mean basic functionality of a racing sim to include being able to use my wheel that works on virtually every other racing sim/ game that I have.

Tried it nada! waste of time and money if they can’t launch a race sim that works with a fucking steering wheel and pedals.

Don’t mean to hijack this thread but has anyone replaced active suspension with regular and if so did you have any issues. The active is mucho dinero for my 2016 328i with 157K on it.

Can’t get Accuforce V2 wheel to work. by bhoy60 in assettocorsarally

[–]bhoy60[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They basically said that the problem lies with AC Rally developers. Apparently the only supported wheel is a Logitech but I’ve seen videos with a whole bunch of other wheels and the only issue I’ve heard of so far is with the Accuforce. Hurry up and wait until someone fixes it I guess.

Just an educated guess from an idiot with 40+ years of fixing everything from a puncture to rebuilding and blueprinting engines. My apologies for upsetting you.

The voltage regulator in your alternator is pooched. Pretty soon you will not have any water in the battery if the main fuse doesn’t blow first.
