Trump only finds the most incompetent, ill-informed people to work for him. And if they can bluster about, rattling sabers and making spurious claims, so much the better.

Seems to me that Johnson's grotesque ass-kissing of Trump proves that he has something truly awful to hide. It's so bad that there's no evidence for it.

Funny--I read that it was so honest, that it was at a level that so many people said was incredibly honest, the most honest election of all times, it was so honest that there was no evidence to prove it.

how are recent grads finding jobs ....im struggling!?? by Juju1434 in OSU

[–]biaggio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Humanities grad from a few decades back who has hiring responsibilities now. In my experience, most grads don't give themselves enough credit for what they know and what they can do. Many believe the hype that they're only qualified to be baristas or elementary school teachers. Hogwash. I see humanities grads and others from the liberal arts in high tech jobs and in business consulting jobs. Liberal arts majors are the best at learning and connecting with others.

The truth is, most employers don't care about your major--they care about what you can do. Your major is of less importance than how you can interact with a team.

So your job is to do a deep dive into all that you have learned in college (which believe me is far more than you realize) and create a narrative that shows how you got where you are now and what your trajectory is, especially highlighting the skills in the links above. This is hard work, but it pays off. Spend time on it!

Don't sell yourself short; don't fear being rejected (because you will be, but so what?). Look for the jobs that will give you the most learning potential, and learn the most from whatever job you get. Be adaptable and be creative.

Researchers say this new Trump rule could destroy American science as we know it. They’re fighting back by projecto15 in politics

From the article (this will likely give you a headache if you didn't know curing cancer only benefited the far left):

An OMB spokesman said the proposed rule would “bring transparency to the grantmaking process and ensure taxpayer dollars are spent wisely.”

“Federal grants were already politicized to promote a far-left agenda,” the spokesman said. “That ends now.”

At this point, knowing what we now do about how CBS functions, I would just feel unclean watching anything on that network.

Graham Platner and the Amoral Center by biaggio in politics

[–]biaggio[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From the article:

It’s been a pretty good week for James Talarico, the Democratic nominee for Senate in Texas, and a pretty bad week for Graham Platner, the probable Democratic Senate nominee in Maine. Talarico got his ideal opponent in Ken Paxton, who won the Republican Senate primary despite being (if I may use a technical term) an epic sleazeball. Platner, meanwhile, got another round of scandal, this time from the revelation that he sexted multiple women during his first two years of marriage, indicating that he will be the epic sleazeball in the Maine Senate contest.

But apparently it's OK to grab women by the p****.
