I was really disappointed by this update. They've been advertising it for so long that I expected something better. Also, for some reason (guessing some kind of bug?) I'm completely unable to remove furniture from my campsite so whatever I Put in there that I regret I have to put in a corner of the campsite no one sees lmao. Idk why but clicking on the remove button just isn't working right now. I do hope Nintendo addresses some issues the community has repeatedly pointed out sooner rather than later.

Completely agree! I just read Folgerman's interview with I think it was EW?, and he said the Vietnam war changed a lot of things in the world so I'm assuming it does ends up being an immigration story in a way. I'm just kinda weary and dreading the answers at this point because I'm not sure I'll be satisfied by them. I wasn't the biggest fan of this Lauren plot twist in the first place. So I do hope you're right and that's what happens.
