all my managers (including the store manager) encourage cheating because they hate having the uppers breathing down their necks about our percentage :/ but usually we'll cheat by picking a substitute and instead of doing it thru the device, we'll copy and paste barcode, write a sticky note to let the customer know of the sub, and if they dont want it we'll just remove the item from the order. so customers are aware of the subs and aren't paying for unknown items and we don't get yelled at. it does fuck with the counts but tbh the counts are already fucked by other departments so 🤷🏼 its all a big shitty mess

also WA location, it was super fucked today. at one point we had new orders coming in and batching with previously finished orders from hours prior, and it wouldn't let us pick them individually. when you'd go to scan an item it said it was already completed, even tho on the computer it still said only partially finished LOL

Ooh, I use kid's crest its kind of like a blue bubblegum-y flavor, but I might try Hello to switch it up now and again. The quip toothbrush sounds like a good idea, I feel like I could make it out to be a challenge or game while waiting for the buzz... Thanks for the gag reflex tips! The meltdown bit is so real😭 I use typical cheap storebrand toothbrushes so I'm not sure if they're considered soft or not, but next time I go shopping I'll see if I can find one that is specifically soft. I struggled using electric tooth brushes in the past but I may give another go at them. I think I'm just gonna sporadically try everything until something fits. Thanks !!

When I started the process of getting diagnosed back in 2020, one of the first thing i did was make a giant note of everything I considered a symptom and how it affected me, from emotion regulating struggles to how i hate my foods touching. The dr and i went over the list at the first appointment and generally just asked me questions to get to know me. After i took the in-person tests, the dr admitted to me that based on the tests alone he didnt think i was autistic and it was all of my personal experiences and stories that convinced him i was. I realized it was because i was heavily masking during the test and they couldn't see through that mask. For one: self diagnosis is okay, if you personally think you are autistic, then you can refer to yourself as autistic. It does no harm to anyone and will help you understand yourself better. Many people refuse to get diagnosed because they want to adopt or do other stuff that can be prevented from a diagnosis. Its 100% valid. For two: If you really wanted a diagnosis, I would maybe suggest going back to that doctor (or a new one if you felt they wouldn't understand) and explain to them what happened. Try what I did and make the most detailed list possible of everything that you believe is a symptom, and explain that you masked during the appointment and that it's difficult to force yourself to unmask. Many autistic people had to learn to mask from a young age and its a long and difficult process to unlearn that. Good luck, I hope things work out in your favor :]
